Questa Domenica 1 settembre è la nuova data dell’appuntamento atteso per domenica scorsa con il duo acustico dei musicisti del Conservatorio di Cagliari, Rubens Massidda e Manuela Mameli, e con le loro ricercate e soffuse atmosfere jazz che finalmente approdano anche sulle rive dello Shakespeare Beach nel Poetto di Quartu presso il mitico Stabilimento Marlin, il locale che in tanti anni di attività nella vita notturna del Golfo degli Angeli si è distinto per la sua politica di massimo rispetto per la musica dal vivo e per le sue proposte sempre molto accurate.

Eccezionalmente questa Domenica, per inaugurare degnamente la programmazione di Settembre, l’elegante cornice del rinomato lounge bar sul mare si lascerà avvolgere dalle intriganti suggestioni armoniche degli standard jazz e dalle effervescenti ambientazioni dei classici del blues ma sarà anche teatro di audaci e stimolanti incursioni nei territori del Pop e del Folk, alla scoperta di tesori musicali spesso ancora non esplorati a dovere.

In questa shakespeariana notte di mezza estate, la risacca trasporterà per voi sull’arenile i burrascosi accenti dello swing, l’alta marea della black music di ieri e di oggi, da Keb’Mo’ a Stevie Wonder, la frizzante bonaccia di Sting e di Cole Porter, le ondate sciabordanti dei Gipsy Kings e dei Beatles, mentre le refrigeranti brezze del nostro litorale in complicità con le ricche e intense interpretazioni di Manuela Mameli evocheranno profumi di terre diverse ad ogni canzone, senza trascurare la tradizione musicale sarda che si sposa meravigliosamente con la sua inconfondibile vocalità.

Profumi che gareggeranno con quelli della raffinata cucina di classe dello Shakespeare Beach, che offrirà come sempre anche drink, aperitivi e gelateria ma soprattutto il repertorio musicale accuratamente rielaborato in chiave acustica proposto dalla spumeggiante chitarra del navigato Rubens Massidda e da Manuela Mameli, versatile vocalist ogliastrina che – benché giovanissima – ha all’attivo un’esperienza di diversi mesi in Svezia, varie partecipazioni in radio e tv locali anche con un brano di sua composizione, collaborazioni prestigiose con importanti nomi della scena jazz isolana, tra cui Paolo Nonnis, il celebre batterista sardo che ha avuto successo negli States e col quale collabora in uno swing quintet stabile, i pianisti Alessandro Diliberto, Sandro Mura dei Sunflower Quartet, il compositore australiano Peter Waters, il cantante inglese Kevin Leo, nonché, nell’ambito della musica tradizionale sarda, più di dieci anni di concerti nelle piazze di tutta la regione, culminati, nella stagione in corso, in una tournée di spettacoli di ethnic pop incentrati sulla sua calde interpretazioni, il “Manuela Mameli Concerto e Tradizione”.
