MADONNA OF EASTER – CAGLIARI CATHEDRAL – 14 TO 19 AUGUST

The 14:15 and Sunday 19 August 2012, the Cathedral of Cagliari exhibited to the veneration of the faithful and pilgrims of the relic of the Holy Thorn from Christ’s crown. The faithful who will travel to venerate the Holy Thorn may obtain a plenary indulgence.

Exposure started on Tuesday 14 at 18.00 with the solemn celebration of first vespers;

19.00 pm Holy Mass of the vigil;

21.00 pm Solemn Mass and Marian vigil of the Assumption.

Wednesday, August 15 the Holy Thorn will be exposed after Mass 9:00 am and continually throughout the day until 22.00.

Sunday, August 19: from 9.00 to 13.00 and from 16.00 to 21.00.

The veneration of the Holy Thorn will be suspended during the liturgical celebrations.

From 18.00 on 14 and 15 and all the faithful Sunday, August 19 will receive the sacrament of Reconciliation and gain a plenary indulgence linked to the veneration of the Holy Thorn.
