“DREAM OF BEES ” è il primo singolo estratto dall’album DOT TO DOT, terzo full lenght delle LILIES ON MARS, in uscita internazionale nel Febbraio 2014 per l’ etichetta statunitense Saint Marie Records. Tra l’ Inghilterra e la Sardegna le polistrumentiste Lisa Masia e Marina Cristofalo hanno formato il duo nel 2009, dopo un’ intensa collaborazione con il loro mentore Franco Battiato, ospite in in Dot To Dot nella traccia Oceanic Landscape. Le Lilies propongono uno struggente e ultraterreno dreampop retro-futurista.

“DREAM OF BEES ” si apre con un accordo d’organo in bilico superato rapidamente da un’ anteprima di inciso strumentale che trascina dolcemente l’ascoltatore in una vertiginosa giostra di suoni, come un’ immagine forte che traccia una linea di tastiera sicura, Calliopiana. Con il primo verso un eco vocale lontano, vola dolcemente attraversando tutto il brano. La batteria calzante di Valentina Magaletti (The Oscillation, Fanfarlo) assicura che il ritmo non tocchi mai il suolo.

Il primo remix incluso con il singolo arriva da San Francisco dal team dei SILVER SWANS, con un approccio più sintetico alla canzone, portano la linea vocale più esterna e usano tamburi programmati per creare un enfasi ritmica. La newyorkese violoncellista JULIA KENT (Rasputina), rifonde sorprendentemente “Dream of Bees” puramente strumentale con un arrangiamento d’archi squisito.

” DREAM OF BEES ” opens with a chord organ poised passed rapidly from a ‘ preview of recorded instrumental that gently draws the listener into a dizzying carousel of sounds, such as a ‘ strong image that draws a line of keyboard safe , Calliopiana . With the first verse a voice echoed away , fly smoothly through the whole song. The battery fitting Valentina Magaletti (The Oscillation , Fanfarlo ) ensures that the pace never touches the ground.

The first remix is included with the single arrives from San Francisco by the team of SILVER SWANS with a more synthetic approach to the song, bring the vocal line and use the outer programmed drums to create a rhythmic emphasis . The New York-based cellist JULIA KENT ( Rasputina ) , recasts surprisingly “Dream of Bees ” purely instrumental with a string arrangement delicious .
