Leaving Paris Project
nasce da un’idea del contrabbassista sardo Maurizio Congiu trasferitosi in questi anni in Francia per approfondire i suoi studi musicali, soprattutto nell’ambito jazzistico.
Pensato nel viaggio di ritorno verso la “terra madre”, ripercorre i momenti più significativi di quest’ultimo anno musicale, attraverso i brani che l’hanno caratterizzato.
Il contatto con la realtà artistica Parigina gli ha permesso di scoprire nuove musiche, nuove contaminazioni, nuovi talenti.
Per rendere ancor più efficace il progetto, sceglie di condividerlo con tre musicisti che provengono da questa realtà. Li ha convinti a “lasciare Parigi” e raggiungerlo in Sardegna per proseguire con lui questo viaggio!

Sarà quindi affiancato da:

Regis Ferrante: Sax
Thomas Domen: Batteria

ritengo sia giusto spendere due parole per la struttura che ha permesso di incontrarci.
Abbiamo infatti in comune la fortuna di aver frequentato il CMDL (centre de musique Didier Lockwood), una delle scuole di jazz più rinomate in Francia.
L’ambiente famigliare e la grande passione di tutti i maestri ci ha permesso di innamorarci ancora di più del nostro lavoro, del jazz, della musica in generale.

is the brainchild of bassist Maurizio Sardinian Congiu moved in recent years to France to pursue his interests in music, especially in jazz.
Designed in the journey back to the “earth mother”, retraces the most significant moments of the past year through music, with songs that have characterized it.
The contact with the Parisian art scene has allowed him to discover new music, new influences, new talent.
To make it even more effective the project, he chooses to share it with three musicians who come from this reality. He has convinced them to “leave Paris” and join him in Sardinia to continue this journey with him!

Thomas Domen: Battery

I think it’s fair to say a few words to the structure that has allowed us to meet.
In fact, we share the good fortune to have attended the CMDL (center de musique Didier Lockwood), one of the most renowned jazz schools in France.
The friendly atmosphere and a great passion for all teachers allowed us to fall in love even more of our work, jazz, music in general.
