Tutto è pronto per la 68° edizione della Remata de Sos Carreras, l‘appuntamento storico e sportivo che coinvolge i quartieri della città di Olbia, proponendo un’entusiasmante gara fra chiattini, nello specchio di mare antistante Via Re di Puglia.

Organizzata con meticolosa attenzione dagli uomini della Compagnia della Vela Latina, la regata ha la capacità unica di coinvolgere completamente la comunità, spingendo gli equipaggi rappresentanti dei tanti quartieri cittadini ad affrontare una gara tanto entusiasmante quanto spettacolare.

Sabato 22 giugno dalle ore 18:30 inizieranno le batterie per giungere alla finalissima che proclamerà il quartiere vincitore dell’edizione numero 68 Il tifo da stadio che storicamente accompagna la corsa dei chiattini in mare, sarà ancora una volta cornice perfetta alla manifestazione, entrata ormai a pieno titolo fra gli appuntamenti istituzionalizzati del Comune di Olbia .

La scorsa edizione ha visto la vittoria del quartiere Thilibbas che insieme all’equipaggio femminile del Rudalza-Porto Rotondo ha potuto scrivere il proprio nome sulle pagine dell’ambito albo d’oro della manifestazione.

La regata è inserita in un ricco calendario di eventi collaterali legati alla Festa di San Giovanni e della Madonna del. Mare, in collaborazione con il comitato organizzatore .

In passato, quando il mare rappresentava la principale risorsa per il territorio cittadino, “su chiattinu” era l’imbarcazione che più si adattava alla pesca nei fondali bassi del golfo. L‘idea di far rivivere in una gara i chiattini è nata nel 2009 da una proposta della Compagnia delle Vele Latina di Olbia e del suo presidente, il maestro d’ascia Leonardo Fois . La gara, per il numero delle passate edizioni, per i contenuti legati alla tradizione marinara e per i suoi legami con l’arte dei cantieri, è diventata un vero e proprio palio dei quartieri, Sos Carreras, appunto, ed il fiore all’occhiello di quella che può essere considerata a pieno titolo la tradizione marinara della Città. Da tre anni la manifestazione gode dell’adesione del Presidente della Repubblica ,del patrocinio della Regione Sardegna , del Comune di Olbia e della Provincia Olbia Tempio
