NOTTE DELLE STELLE CADENTI SULLE CIME DEI 7 FRATELLI

La notte di San Lorenzo, il 10 agosto, è conosciuta come la notte delle stelle cadenti. Da alcuni anni a questa parte gli studiosi hanno verificato che il picco del numero di meteore viene raggiunto durante la notte tra l’11 e il 12 agosto, quando lo sciame delle Perseidi diventa ben visibile nel cielo notturno. Quest’anno il plenilunio è lontano e si prospetta una notte con ottima visibilità del cielo.
Il luogo più adatto all’osservazione del cielo notturno è rilevato e privo di inquinamento luminoso: le cime dei Sette Fratelli si prestano ottimemente a questo scopo.
Giunti sulle cime dopo un percorso, in parte su sentiero (nelle ultime ore di luce) e in parte su sterrata (dopo il tramonto del sole), potremo consumare la cena e disporci comodamente a trascorrere la notte al bivacco col sacco a pelo.
La mattina successiva, dopo aver ammirato il sole che sorge davanti a noi dal mare di Costa Rei, percorreremo un piacevole sentiero per tornare al punto di partenza entro le ore 9:00.

Appuntamento ore 18:15 fronte Caserma “U. Noci”, Parco Sette Fratelli.
Auto propria, cena e colazione al sacco, acqua da bere, sacco a pelo, scarpe da trekking e torcia. Consiglio di portare un maglione per la notte.
In considerazione della stagione non è possibile accendere fuochi durante il bivacco.
Quota di partecipazione: € 15 a persona.

NIGHT OF THE SHOOTING STARS ON THE SUMMIT OF BROTHERS 7

The Night of San Lorenzo, August 10, is known as the night of the shooting stars. For several years now, scientists have verified that the peak in the number of meteors is reached during the night between the 11th and 12th of August, when the Perseids becomes clearly visible in the night sky. This year the full moon is far and promises a night with a clear view of the sky.
The most suitable place to observation of the night sky is detected and free of light pollution: the peaks of the Seven Brothers ottimemente lend themselves to this purpose.
Once on the peaks after a journey, partly on the path (in the last hours of light) and partly on dirt (after sunset), we will have dinner and prepare us to comfortably spend the night at the bivouac with a sleeping bag.
The next morning, after admiring the sun rising in front of us from the sea of Costa Rei, travel along a pleasant path back to the starting point by 9:00 am.

Own car, dinner and packed lunch, drinking water, sleeping bag, hiking boots and flashlight. I recommend bringing a sweater for the night.
