LA CANTATRICE CALVA – TEATRO MASSIMO – CAGLIARI – SABATO 8 DICEMBRETHE BALD SOPRANO – MASSIMO THEATRE – CAGLIARI – SATURDAY DECEMBER 8

Sabato 8 dicembre, alle ore 18, presso il teatro MINIMAX del Tetro Massimo di Cagliari (via de Magistris, 12), andrà in scena lo spettacolo La cantatrice calva l’anti-commedia di Eugène Ionesco. La rappresentazione, realizzata dall’associazione teatrale Teatro I, sarà diretta da Sebastiano Moro e interpretata dagli attori Marcello Armellino, Luca Crippa, Anna Fortunato, Michela Fortunato, Franca Pala, Barbara Meloni.
Lo spettacolo – L’autore rumeno decise di imparare l’inglese comprandosi un manuale di conversazione. Per esercitarsi, ricopiava le frasi del manuale e, facendo ciò, si accorse della banalità delle frasi in esso contenute: “il soffitto è in alto, il pavimento in basso”, “i giorni della settimana sono sette”, etc. Da qui trasse ispirazione per la commedia, datata 1950. La pièce – definita dall’autore anti-commedia – è il primo esempio di un genere teatrale allora ai suoi albori, il teatro dell’assurdo, in cui la vicenda subisce uno straniamento tramite l’utilizzo esasperato di dialoghi contrastanti, luoghi comuni…
L’autore – Eugène Ionesco (Slatina [Bucarest] 1912 – Parigi 1994). Drammaturgo francese di origine romena. Fu, insieme a Samuel Beckett, uno degli interpreti più arguti e provocatori dei disagi e della disperazione dell’uomo contemporaneo, ponendosi tra gli autori teatrali più innovativi e profondi del Novecento. Fondatore del teatro dell’assurdo, fa un uso parodistico e grottesco del linguaggio quotidiano. Tra le altre opere si ricordano: Vittime del dovere; Il rinoceronte; Il re morto.
La compagnia – L’associazione teatrale “Teatro i” fondata nel 1997 da un gruppo di allievi della Scuola di Meditazione, trae la sua denominazione dai versi danteschi che si rifanno al concetto di semplicità e sacralità evocato dalla lettera “i”. Essa persegue con entusiasmo i fini per cui è nata: coltivare e diffondere la cultura del teatro tra i suoi aderenti e quindi tra il pubblico, attraverso le molteplici potenzialità del mezzo teatrale, proponendo testi ricchi di contenuti umani. Il gruppo, che non persegue alcun fine di lucro, deve la sua sopravvivenza grazie alla volontà dei componenti dell’associazione, e, inoltre, alla comprensione e al contributo dell’Assessorato alla Cultura del Comune di Cagliari, della Provincia di Cagliari e della Regione autonoma della Sardegna.

Saturday, December 8, at 18, at the theater of the MINIMAX Tetro Maximum of Cagliari (via de Magistris, 12), will stage the play The Bald Soprano anti-comedy Eugène Ionesco. The representation realized by the theater Theatre I, will be directed by Sebastian Moro and interpreted by actors Marcello Armellino, Luca Crippa, Anna Fortunato, Michela Fortunato, Franca Pala, Barbara Meloni.
The show – The Romanian author decided to learn English by buying a manual of conversation. For practice, he copied the sentences in the manual and, in doing so, he noticed the banality of the phrases in it: “The ceiling is high, the floor below,” “the seven days of the week”, etc.. From here he drew inspiration for the play, dated 1950. The play – called anti-comedy by the author – is the first example of a theatrical genre then in its infancy, the theater of the absurd, in which the story undergoes an estrangement through the use of exaggerated dialogues conflicting clichés …
The author – Eugène Ionesco (Slatina [Bucharest] 1912 – Paris 1994). Romanian-born French dramatist. Was, along with Samuel Beckett, one of the most witty and provocative interpreters of discomfort and despair of modern man, placing among the playwrights of the twentieth century’s most innovative and profound. Founder of the theater of the absurd and grotesque parody makes use of everyday language. Among other works include: Victims of duty, the rhinoceros, the king died.
The company – The Association play “the theater” was founded in 1997 by a group of students of the School of Meditation, derives its name from Dante’s verses that refer to the concept of simplicity and sacredness evoked by the letter “i”. It pursues with enthusiasm the purposes for which it was born: to cultivate and spread the culture of theater among its members and then to the public, through the many great features of theatrical means, proposing texts rich in human content. The group, which does not pursue any profit, owes its survival by the will of members of the association, and also to the understanding and contribution of the Culture of the Municipality of Cagliari, Cagliari Province and the Region of Sardinia.
