Karl Bartos è conosciuto come membro storico della formazione classica dei Kraftwerk, con i quali condivise il periodo tra il 1975 e il 1990. ‘Off the Records’ è il suo nuovo album, il primo da dieci anni a questa parte. Il nuovo lavoro di Karl Bartos è stato concepito durante il periodo Kraftwerk ma ri-contestualizzato dopo un lungo ciclo di fermentazione. Un disco concettuale, un diario segreto in forma techno-pop, strutturato come una vera e propria esperienza audio visiva. Dodici i pezzi in scaletta, prodotti da Bartos stesso e anticipati dai singoli ‘Atomium’ e ‘Without a Trace of Emotion’, questo ultimo un’originale riflessione sull’esperienza Kraftwerk, un ritratto ironico scritto agli albori degli anni ottanta e incentrato sulla rielaborazione dei cliché con cui devono inevitabilmente fare i conti le cosiddette pop star: i codici di abbigliamento, le interviste, lo champagne, le manie di persecuzione.

Lo show legato al nuovo lavoro di Karl Bartos ripercorrerà l’intera carriera dell’artista tedesco, dai classici composti con i Kraftwerk, passando per i suoi dischi con gli Elektric Music e da solista. Grande attesa per i visual del nuovo show di Bartos, dimenticate il 3-D e preperatevi all’esperienza del Live Cinema: 90 minuti di musica e visual originali.

Karl Bartos è stato un membro fondamentale dei Kraftwerk, autore e musicista di primo piano insieme a Ralf Hutter, Florian Schneider e Wolfgang Flur. Karl ha preso parte alle registrazioni e tour di album immortali come ‘Radio Activity’, ‘Trans Europe Express’, ‘The Man Machine’, ‘Computer World’ ed ‘Electric Cafè’, fino al 1990 quando lasciò la band per concentrarsi su altri progetti e la sua carriera solista.
Dopo l’abbandono dei Kraftwerk, Bartos ha pubblicato con gli Elektric Music gli album ‘Esperanto’ (nel 1993), ed ‘Electric Music’ (nel 1998), collaborando nel 1996 con la band techno Electronic per l’album ‘Raise the Pressure’. Tredici anni dopo il suo addio dalla band di Hutter e Scheneider ha pubblicato il suo esordio da solista, ‘Communication’ (2003), seguito nel 2013 dall’incredibile ‘Off the Record’, lavoro capace di dare nuova vita al classico suono dei Kraftwerk.

Karl Bartos is known as a member of the historical formation of the Kraftwerk classic , with whom he shared the period between 1975 and 1990. ‘ Off the Records ‘ is his new album, their first for ten years now .
