ITTIRI FOLK – ITTIRI – STINTINO – JULY 19

The edition number 27 of the International Festival of folk dances and folk expressions organized by the cultural and folk Ittiri Cannedu with the City of Ittiri propose some changes.

The most notable is the choice to open July 19 in Stintino with the first edition of “Festival of the Sea” in the square of 45 and 24 to close the Piazza Sebastiano Satta in Nuoro.

Choice that highlights the two tracks where running an event that attracts thousands of people and offer an attractive image of the island: tourism and tradition.

The 27 th edition records then the first of three nations: there will be Peru (Huancavelica), Indonesia (South Jakarta) and an African group coming from Benin. Within Ittiri Folk Festival takes place on 10 Zenìas prize, coveted for those unable to export their culture and traditions sardines around the world.

In the previous edition, the award was given to the musician Paolo Fresu.
