ITALIA,ADDIO CARO “STIVALE”ITALY, GOODBYE “BOOT”

Addio caro “Stivale”: il caratteristico profilo geografico del Bel Paese ha i millenni contati! L’innalzamento dei mari unito ai movimenti geologici porteranno inevitabilmente a modificare la conformazione dell’Italia, com’è normale che sia nell’evoluzione del nostro pianeta.

Lo ha spiegato il geologo Kurt Lambeck, vincitore del Premio Balzan 2012 e ospite all’Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. “Le linee di costa dell’Italia  – ha spiegato Lambeck –  sono destinate a cambiare, come quelle di tutte le altre terre emerse. E’ impossibile fare previsioni temporali ma e’ evidente che alcune zone del Nord Italia sono destinate ad essere sommerse mentre alcune zone del Sud ad emergere ulteriormente“.
Si tratta di movimenti lentissimi che non si osservano in pochi anni ma che basta tornare indietro di pochi millenni e appaiono in tutta la loro evidenza.

Il cambiamento dello Stivale non sara’ pero’ dovuto solo all’innalzamento dei mari ma anche a fenomeni geologici che possono avere un andamento opposto.

In Sardegna sparirebbe la pianura del Campidano,l’Asinara,Alghero  e parte dell’Oristanese.Goodbye dear ” Boot ” : the distinctive geographical profile of the Bel Paese has counted the millennia ! The rising sea levels combined with geological movements will inevitably change the shape of Italy, it is normal that in the evolution of our planet.

This was explained by the geologist Kurt Lambeck , who won the Balzan Prize 2012 and the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei guest . ” The lines of the coast of Italy – said Lambeck – are bound to change , such as those of any other land. It ‘s impossible to predict storms but it’ s clear that some areas of northern Italy are designed to be submerged while some areas of the South to rise further. “
It’s slow movements that are not observed in a few years but they just go back a few centuries and appear in all their evidence .

The change of the boot will not be ‘ but’ only due to rising seas but also to geological phenomena that can have an opposite trend .
