SIGNIFICANTE 2014 PORTA IN SCENA “IL DISERTORE” DI GIUSEPPE DESSÌ
La narrazione del romanzo dello scrittore cagliaritano è il quarto evento della rassegna targata Figli d’Arte Medas. Primo appuntamento venerdì 7 marzo a Cagliari nella Chiesa monumentale di Santa Chiara. Replica domenica 9 marzo al Teatro Fratelli Medas di Guasila

Dopo una settimana di pausa riprende Significante 2014, la rassegna organizzata dall’Associazione Figli d’Arte Medas. Sarà lo spettacolo Il Disertore, tratto dal libro di Giuseppe Dessì, a portare avanti il programma della manifestazione. Previsti due appuntamenti: il primo a Cagliari, venerdì 7 marzo alle ore 21 nella Chiesa Monumentale di Santa Chiara; il secondo a Guasila, domenica 9 marzo alle ore 20 sul palco del Teatro Fratelli Medas. In scena la voce narrante di Gianluca Medas sarà accompagnata dalla chitarra classica di Andrea Congia, e dai suoni etnofolk del gruppo Su Cuntzertu Antigu (Myriam Costeri – organetto diatonico/pipiolu; Lubna Loubani – tumbarinu; Kathrin Mura – tumbarinu; Silvia Mascia – triangolo).

Lo Spettacolo
Un Dramma Etico al cospetto di un Monumento ai Caduti, un sordo, silenzioso e intenso urlo per la Vita, un profondo e necessario viaggio nel Rifiuto della Guerra. La pietà di una Madre e l’impegno morale di un Sacerdote, oltre ogni legge formale, delineati tra Parola e Musica dalla ferma voce del narratore Gianluca Medas, dalle offuscate vibrazioni della chitarra di Andrea Congia e dalle sonorità ancestrali de Su Cuntzertu Antigu, guidato dall’organettista Myriam Costeri.

Il Libro
Pubblicato a Milano nel 1961 dalla Casa Editrice Mondadori, Il Disertore, è giudicato uno dei migliori romanzi della produzione italiana di quel periodo, tanto da vincere, nell’anno successivo, il Premio Bagutta. Tappa finale di un itinerario politico e morale antimilitarista, il Romanzo è ambientato durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale a Cuadu, un immaginario paese della Sardegna. I Segreti di un’anziana Madre, Mariangela Eca, analfabeta, priva di convinzioni politiche, ma forte di uno sconfinato amore materno.

Giuseppe Dessì (Cagliari 1909 – Roma 1977)
Narratore e drammaturgo, trascorre la sua inquieta e difficile adolescenza a Villacidro, suo paese d’origine. Dopo aver conseguito la maturità classica, si iscrive alla Facoltà di Lettere presso l’Università di Pisa trovandosi in un fervido ambiente culturale. Nominato Ispettore del Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione, insegna in varie città d’Italia. Dal 1939, anno del suo felice esordio da scrittore, con opere di saggistica, narrativa, teatro e televisione, conferma nel tempo una presenza letteraria e culturale costante, coerente e coraggiosa.

Associazione Figli d’Arte Medas
Nata nel 1990 per iniziativa di Gianluca Medas, l’Associazione porta avanti un percorso poliedrico nel quale Cultura Popolare, Teatro di Narrazione e Musica costituiscono le cifre estetiche più importanti. Diversi progetti hanno preso forma, nel corso del tempo, e hanno portato la Compagnia ad essere riconosciuta dal Ministero della Cultura della Repubblica Italiana. Tra le attività più recenti tre Rassegne di rilevante importanza culturale: il Festival della Storia, la Rassegna Famiglie d’Arte e Significante – Rassegna di Spettacolo tra Parola e Musica.

Gianluca Medas
Regista, narratore, scrittore, attore e autore, ha esplorato le molte possibilità della comunicazione portando avanti una ricerca che spazia dall’ambito teatrale a quello televisivo, senza trascurare il settore editoriale e quello cinematografico. Proveniente dall’unica Famiglia d’Arte Sarda, quella dei Medas, fin dal 1985 si adopera attivamente per tenere in vita la tradizione artistica di famiglia approfondendo un percorso dedicato al Teatro di Narrazione e impegnandosi anche nella realizzazione di nuovi progetti ispirati alla Cultura Popolare.

Andrea Congia
Laureato in Filosofia e laureando in Etnomusicologia presso il Conservatorio di Cagliari. Chitarrista (chitarra classica, baritono e fretless), autore e interprete nelle formazioni musicali sperimentali Nigro Minstrel, Mascherada, Antagonista Quintet, Crais Trio, Baska, Hellequin, Orchestrina dei Miracoli, Gastropod, Skull Cowboys, Grande Madre Band. Da anni prosegue sulla strada della coniugazione tra Parola e Musica in collaborazione con numerosi artisti provenienti da ambienti musicali e teatrali sardi in particolar modo attraverso la direzione artistica della Rassegna di Spettacolo Significante.

Su Cuntzertu Antigu
Un ensemble etnofolk che vuole riproporre i suoni ancestrali dell’entroterra sardo. A Gavoi in Barbagia, il suono ancestrale del tamburo di pelle si accompagna al triangolo e all’organetto diatonico e scandisce i momenti importanti come le sagre paesane, ma anche semplici momenti di convivialità familiari e tra amici. Ammaliate dal rullare di centinaia di tamburi e strumenti etnomusicali, colonna sonora del Carnevale tribale di Gavoi, le componenti del trio si sono fatte trasportare dalle magiche melodie del ballo antico, suonato con l’organetto diatonico e cadenzato dagli antichi strumenti.

After a week off resumes Signifier 2014, the exhibition organized by the Sons of Art Medes. The Deserter will be the show, based on the book by Giuseppe Dessi, to carry on the program of the event. Will be two events: the first in Cagliari, Friday, March 7 at 21 in the Monumental Church of St. Clare, and the second in Guasila, Sunday, March 9 at 20 on stage at the Teatro Brothers Medes. Published in Milan in 1961 by the publishing house Mondadori, The Deserter, is considered one of the best novels of the Italian production of that period, so as to win the following year, the Prize Bagutta. The final stage of an itinerary political and moral anti-militarist, the novel is set during the First World War in Cuadu, an imaginary country of Sardinia.

Novelist and playwright, spent his restless and difficult adolescence in Villacidro, his country of origin. After receiving his high school, he enrolled in the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Pisa in being a fervent cultural environment. Appointed Inspector of the Ministry of Education, teaches in various cities of Italy.
