Second appointment with the season of Theatre Author of The Crucible, Saturday, Nov. 3, at 21, in the Santa Croce area of Via Santa Croce 49 Cagliari, Iaia Forte stage, starring in a stage of literature “Arturo’s Island” Elsa Morante, of which the actress has edited, together with Carlotta Corradi processing dramatic.

<< When I first read The Island Arturo was very young. The characters were so vivid that I seemed to have them beside her, feeling their warmth into the room where I was reading. When an adult, already in love with Morante, I decided to reread it, I realized things that as a child I could not understand, but I heard that the memory “fantastic” the first reading was intact, and that this book, for me, would embody forever adolescence. Procida, in the novel, is the soul of Arthur, an enchanted place and innocent, that will be dropped by the player at an age when you leave your childhood. The Island and Arturo are therefore the same body, wild and dense, are childhood and innocence, and the novel tells beautifully that “rite of passage” from one age to another so traumatic for all of us. I decided to work on this novel for the pleasure of communicating a lovely language, and to spend time in the company of “That island” of that lost time, that is for all of us, the most vital nourishment imagination> >.
