I FUOCHI DI SAN GIOVANNI – MACOMER – DOMENICA 23 GIUGNOTHE SAN JEAN FIRE’S – MACOMER – SUNDAY JUNE 23th

Macomer festeggerà la ricorrenza di San Giovanni con i consueti fuochi, domenica 23 giugno. La festa intreccia il culto del Santo all’antica usanza di celebrare con il fuoco il solstizio d’estate, importante momento di passaggio dell’anno solare che la nostra civiltà contadina non ha mai dimenticato.

Saranno due i grandi fuochi di domenica 23 giugno in città: a Santa Maria, in piazza Repubblica, l’Associazione Santa Maria invita tutti a partecipare dalle 17.30 a ‘Su fogulone': ci saranno giochi gonfiabili per bambini, birra a un euro e pecora bollita offerta dall’Associazione.

In Piazza Santa Croce, invece, Esedra Escursioni, Fondazione Promotea e Su Kindalu invitano ‘A s’abba muda’, serata che inizierà alle 21.00 con le ‘Memorie degli under 60′ raccontate da Pinuccia Corrias. Alle 22.00 l’accensione e l’inizio degli immancabili ‘salti’ del fuoco, la discesa a Funtan’e Cannone e la risalita con ‘s’abba muda’. L’indomani, invece, alle 19.00, ‘Il cammino del silenzio’, da Macomer all’area archeologica di Tamuli.

There will be two great fires of Sunday, June 23 in the city: Santa Maria, Republic square, the Santa Maria Association invites everyone to participate from 17:30 to ‘On fogulone': there will be inflatable games for children, a beer in euro and sheep boiled offered by the Association.
