Hard Up è il nuovo progetto di quattro musicisti Cagliaritani Andrea Morelli sax, Massimo “Maso” Spano contrabbasso, Mauro Piras trombone, Alessandro Garau batteria.
Il progetto ruota su una proposta musicale all originals, fuori dal mainstream Jazzistico, i brani sono tutte composizioni di Morelli-Garau-Spano e abbracciano il free jazz come il country, spaziano dal funky al blues al latin mutando continuamente l’approccio musicale.
La formazione atipica del quartetto senza piano o chitarra enfatizza e stimola l’interplay dei musicisti ed anche il repertorio riflette in modo inequivocabile l’esigenza dei musicisti di percorrere strade nuove, rielaborando stili diversi con un approccio che rimane però strettamente legato alla tradizione jazz, alla improvvisazione.

Hard Up is the new project of four musicians Cagliaritani sax Andrea Morelli, Massimo “Maso” Spano bass, trombone Mauro Piras, Alessandro Garau battery.
The project is based on a musical proposal to originals, out of the mainstream Jazzy, the songs are all compositions Morelli-Garau-Spano and embrace the free jazz as the country, ranging from funky blues to Latin to continuously changing musical approach.
The formation of atypical quartet without piano or guitar emphasizes and encourages the interplay of the musicians and the repertoire reflects unequivocally the need for musicians to explore new avenues, reworking different styles with an approach that is strictly linked to the jazz tradition, to improvisation.
