Fabio Piccioni e Diamante Murru sono i protagonisti del secondo appuntamento della rassegna d’arte contemporanea Vamp, che apre al pubblico venerdì 15 febbraio alle ore 18.30 nella sala della Torretta del Centro Comunale d’Arte e Cultura Exmà di Cagliari.
La mostra dal titolo Human Decay, visitabile sino al 10 marzo, è la prima bipersonale della rassegna Vamp, curata da Giacomo Pisano, prodotta dal Consorzio Camù e realizzata in collaborazione con il Comune di Cagliari ed ECCOM di Roma, il Centro Europeo per l’Organizzazione e il Management Culturale.

I due artisti, il fotografo sassarese Fabio Piccioni e la pittrice cagliaritana residente a Londra Diamante Murru, affascinati dalla decadenza, dal mondo della tecnologia e dell’interazione uomo/macchina, interagiscono per la prima volta insieme perseguendo una narrazione comune.

“Le immagini di Fabio Piccioni catturano storie di degrado: il fotografo di Olmedo è affascinato dall’archeologia industriale, dai paesaggi desolati un tempo solcati dall’uomo, dai silenzi di cemento. Così come Fabio Piccioni è attratto dalle tracce umane in un mondo incontaminato, dalla natura che si insinua tra le fabbriche, così Diamante Murru spoglia di qualsiasi traccia vitale le sue creature. La giovanissima artista cagliaritana affianca alle tradizionali tecniche pittoriche una ricerca sul digitale realizzando opere dal marchio inconfondibile. Nel lavoro che i due artisti hanno studiato e proposto insieme vediamo agire le creature di Diamante all’interno delle ambientazioni di Fabio: tecniche e concetti si incontrano per raccontare una storia unica, fatta di emozioni altalenanti. E’ la memoria di spazi, luoghi e persone a scandire i tempi della narrazione per volgere verso la desolata considerazione conclusiva: tutto passa, la vita stessa muta, cancellando le sue tracce terrene per divenire alter ego digitale” – è quanto dichiara il curatore della rassegna Giacomo Pisano.

BIOGRAFIA
Fabio Piccioni nasce ad Alghero nel 1981. Fin da giovane età manifesta particolare attrazione verso tutto ciò che giace abbandonato, dimenticato sotto forma di memoria labile. Costantemente affascinato da luoghi decadenti, trova finalmente il mezzo adatto ad esprimere le sue visioni: nel 2004 conosce la fotografia e in maniera quasi maniacale inizia a studiarne le tecniche. Manuale dopo manuale, workshop dopo workshop e scatto dopo scatto i suoi pensieri iniziano a prendere forma. Una continua ricerca di luoghi da ritrarre lo spinge ad andare in giro per il mondo in cerca di memorie abbandonate e poco tempo dopo arrivano le prime esposizioni. I suoi lavori oggi spaziano dall’archeologia industriale alle realtà affollate delle grandi città, dal paesaggio al ritratto. L’artista attualmente vive tra Roma e la Sardegna e ultimamente ha tenuto una personale in Portogallo dal titolo “Tomorrow is gone” ed ha preso parte alla rassegna “A.Banda” organizzata dall’associazione culturale “Su Palatu Fotografia” ospitata all’interno della rassegna “Menotrentuno”.

Diamante Murru nata a Cagliari nel 1989 si è diplomata al Liceo Artistico, e attraverso corsi e stages ha approfondito la sua tecnica. Ha all’attivo diverse mostre sia personali che collettive, compare inoltre con i suoi lavori in diverse riviste. Ha collaborato con numerosi artisti, musicisti e scrittori sia per lavori pittorici che in performance dal vivo. La sua tecnica si caratterizza per una commistione di pittura digitale e tecniche tradizionali che applica alla grafica di quadri, flyers, posters etc. Diamante ha anche curato make up e body painting per numerose performance, su set fotografici, per videoartisti e a teatro. Ultimamente il suo interesse per l’anatomia e la body art la hanno portata ad avvicinarsi al tatuaggio come forma d’arte espressiva.

LA RASSEGNA
VAMP è l’acronimo di la Vera Arte Muove le Persone, ma anche diminutivo di vampiro, figura ambigua usata come metafora del mondo dell’arte assetato di creatività e stimoli sempre nuovi. Fotografia, street art, grafica, pittura, installazioni sono i linguaggi artistici con cui Vamp racconta in 7 percorsi differenti il modo originale di fare arte di alcuni tra i più innovativi, giovani e capaci artisti sardi. Si tratta di due personali, una di apertura e l’altra di chiusura alla rassegna, tre bipersonali e due collettive. L’iniziativa prende spunto da alcuni aspetti contrastanti del modo di fare e proporre arte ai giorni nostri. «Se da un lato assistiamo ad un discreto proliferare di iniziative a favore dei giovani non possiamo fare a meno di constatare che scelte e proposte sono spesso dettate da ragioni che esulano dagli aspetti artistici e si concentrano piuttosto su motivazioni di tipo commerciale o volutamente provocatorio, alla ricerca di quel sensazionalismo di cui non sentiamo la reale necessità. Da qui anche la scelta di giocare con l’acronimo VAMP, diminutivo di vampiro, una creatura ambigua, che oggi assume aspetti e significati lontani dal tenebroso conte Dracula, e che in luogo del sangue cerca vitalità nella creatività più sotterranea. Ma anche l’artista stesso è vampirizzato da un sistema che fagocita e produce arte esattamente come articoli di supermercato» – sottolinea il curatore Giacomo Pisano.
Questa iniziativa che prosegue idealmente la precedente esperienza di AltrArte, programmata sempre nella Sala della Torretta dal 2007 al 2010, si pone in linea con il progetto comunale di dedicare l’Exmà all’arte contemporanea.

PROSSIMO APPUNTAMENTO
La rassegna proseguirà con il terzo ciclo espositivo dal 15 marzo al 7 aprile: sarà la seconda e ultima bipersonale della rassegna Vamp con Geep & Ilaria Gorgoni.
La rassegna continuerà sino al 28 luglio con alti appuntamenti.

BIOGRAPHY
Fabio Piccioni was born in Alghero in 1981. From a young age develops particular attraction to all that lies abandoned, forgotten in the form of poor memory. THE REVIEW
VAMP stands for the True Art Moves the People, but also short for vampire, ambiguous figure used as a metaphor for the art world thirsty for creativity and always new stimulation. Photography, street art, graphic design, painting, installations are artistic languages ​​which tells Vamp in 7 different paths the original way of making art of some of the most innovative, young and capable Sardinian artists. These are two personal, an opening and closing the other of the review, three bipersonal and two collective. This initiative continues ideally previous experience of AltrArte, always programmed in the Hall of the Tower from 2007 to 2010, is in line with the municipal project to dedicate the Exmà contemporary art.

NEXT MEETING
The festival will continue with the third cycle exhibition from March 15 to April 7: it will be the second and last of the two-person exhibition with Vamp jeep & Ilaria Gorgons.
The exhibition will continue until 28 July with senior appointments.
