HAM FESTIVAL – TALANA – SUNDAY AUGUST 5

How is renewed every year at Talana the appointment with the ham festival, now in its twelfth edition.

The day of the August 5 will be full of events and in addition to the classic taste of delicious sausage, tourists and curious can watch different shows and folk performances.

It starts at 10, with the opening of an exhibition of old houses talanesi, where he will play environments symbol of everyday life for once. From August 6 to 12, the exhibition can be visited from 18.30 to 20. Then you will see the inauguration of the exhibition on the flora and fauna, forests of Sardinia by the Ente. Finally, you can visit the exhibition “The silver of S.Marta” and paintings of the master Sergio Muntoni.

For 11 hours it is expected the arrival of the vintage cars and vintage association ASI Sardinia.
In the evening, from 17 hours, you can climb aboard the train to visit the scenic beauty of Talana. The service will remain active up to 24 hours.

18 start from the highlights of the event. It begins with a parade of folk groups and Abbasanta Ilbono, the Murronarzos, and maimones Intintos of Olzai and Tumbarinos Gavoi. From the start of the 19 groups of folk dances, accompanied by accordionist Tore Delussu.
At 20 will be the turn of the true protagonist of the day: ham Talana will be distributed to tourists, accompanied by a glass of fresh Cannonau.

To close the festival, from 22, there will be dancing and entertainment by the masters of Franco and Jole, to be followed by the Sardinian dances.
