L’AMORE AL CENTRO DEL FESTIVAL DELLA STORIA 2014
Il 28 e 29 luglio va in scena a Quartu l’ottava edizione della manifestazione organizzata dai Figli d’Arte Medas. Studiosi e artisti impegnati a raccontare l’Amore nella storia, dall’età antica a quella contemporanea

ODI – Dal Racconto dell’Amore all’Amore per il Racconto: è questo il titolo del Festival della Storia 2014, la manifestazione organizzata dall’Associazione Figli d’Arte che si terrà lunedì 28 e martedì 29 luglio nel cortile dell’Ex Caserma dei Carabinieri di via Roma 30 a Quartu Sant’Elena. Giunta all’ottava edizione, il Festival quest’anno ripercorrerà cambiamenti ed evoluzioni che hanno trasformato il concetto di Amore nei secoli: dall’età antica a quella contemporanea, un viaggio tra archeologia e mitologia, tra norme e comportamenti di epoche ormai lontane e il fugace e frammentario turbinio comunicativo dei frettolosi giorni nostri. L’evento è inserito all’interno nella programmazione di Quartu colora l’Estate 2014.

IL PROGRAMMA Secondo l’ormai consueto format, caratterizzato da conferenze e spettacoli teatrali, il programma è articolato in due giornate. Si parte lunedì 28 luglio alle 19:30 con l’incontro dal titolo L’Amore nell’Antichità: il dibattito, tenuto dall’archeologa Simonetta Angiolillo e dal giornalista Giacomo Serreli, sarà impreziosito dalle letture di Noemi Medas, attrice e figlia d’arte; a seguire, alle 21:00 lo spettacolo La Grande Madre – Contus e Cantus dall’Isola, narrazione con canti e musiche scritta e interpretata dall’attore Gianluca Medas con l’accompagnamento della Grande Madre Band, ensemble guidato da Andrea Congia (chitarra classica) che si avvale dei contributi di Jonathan Della Marianna (strumenti tradizionali sardi), Marco Loddo (basso elettrico) e Roberto Matzuzzi (batteria/percussioni). Prevista inoltre la partecipazione straordinaria del gruppo Cuncordia a Launeddas. L’Amore Oggi sarà invece il tema di martedì 29 luglio, seconda e ultima giornata del Festival: alle 19:30 la conferenza con l’antropologa Alessandra Guigoni, la giornalista Manuela Vacca e le letture di Gianluca Medas; alle 21:00 spazio al teatro con la pièce Il Disertore, tratta dal romanzo di Giuseppe Dessì. In scena Gianluca Medas, Andrea Congia e la formazione etnofolk Su Cuntzertu Antigu composta da Myriam Costeri (organetto diatonico/pipiolu), Martina Chillotti (triangolo) e Silvia Mascia (tumbarinu).

LA STORIA DEL FESTIVAL Ideato e diretto da Gianluca Medas, prodotto e organizzato dall’Associazione Figli d’Arte Medas, il Festival della Storia nasce con la volontà di avvicinare il pubblico alle tematiche storiche e scientifiche, senza banalizzare i contenuti ma veicolando quest’ultimi anche attraverso le attività di spettacolo. Tante le tematiche affrontate nelle precedenti edizioni: dalla figura della donna al triennio rivoluzionario sardo, giungendo fino alle riflessioni sulla fine del mondo e sull’identità. Denominatore comune l’obiettivo di divulgare la conoscenza con una programmazione originale capace di coniugare informazione e spettacolo in una prospettiva interdisciplinare.

LOVE IN THE CENTER OF THE FESTIVAL OF HISTORY 2014
On 28 and 29 July will be on stage in Quartu the eighth edition of the event organized by the Sons of Art Medes. Scholars and artists committed to telling the love in history, from ancient to contemporary

ODI – From Tale of Love for Love Story: this is the title of the Festival of History 2014, the event organized by the Sons of Art to be held on Monday 28th and Tuesday, July 29 in the courtyard of the former barracks of the Carabinieri via Roma 30 in St. Helens. Now in its eighth edition, the festival this year will trace the changes and developments that have transformed the concept of love over the centuries: from ancient to contemporary, traveling between archeology and mythology, between norms and behaviors of times long gone and the fleeting and fragmentary communicative flurry of hurried day. The event is inserted into the programming of the color Quartu Summer 2014.

THE PROGRAM According to the now familiar format, featuring lectures and theatrical performances, the program is divided into two days. It starts Monday, July 28th at 19:30 with the meeting titled Love in Antiquity: The debate, held by archaeologist and journalist James Simonetta Angiolillo Serreli, will be enhanced by reading Naomi Medes, actress and daughter of ‘art; followed by the show at 21:00 The Great Mother – Contus Cantus and from the island, storytelling with songs and music written and performed by actor Gianluca Medes with the accompaniment of the Great Mother Band, an ensemble led by Andrea Congia (classical guitar ) that relies on the contributions of Jonathan Marianna (Sardinian traditional instruments), Marco Loddo (bass guitar) and Roberto Matzuzzi (drums / percussion). Also foreseen the extraordinary participation of the group in Cuncordia Launeddas. Love Today is the theme of Tuesday, July 29, the second and final day of the Festival: at 19:30 the conference with Alessandra Guigoni anthropologist, journalist Manuela Vacca and readings by Gianluca Medes; 21:00 space to the theater with the play The Deserter, from the novel by Giuseppe Dessi. On stage Gianluca Medes, Andrea Congia and training etnofolk On cuntzertu Antigu composed by Myriam Costeri (melodeon / pipiolu), Martina Chillotti (triangle) and Silvia Mascia (tumbarinu).

THE HISTORY OF THE FESTIVAL Created and directed by Gianluca Medes, produced and organized by the Sons of Art Medes, the Festival of History is born with the desire to bring the public closer to the historical and scientific issues, without trivializing the content but the latter conveying also through the activities of the show. Many of the issues addressed in previous editions: the figure of the woman in the Sardinian revolutionary period, leading up to the reflections on the end of the world and identity. The common denominator of the objective of disseminating knowledge with original programming that can combine information and entertainment in an interdisciplinary perspective.
