Salve amici, sabato è l’8 marzo, la Giornata Internazionale della donna; Enò dedica una serata in memoria della giornata simbolo sulle conquiste della donna durante i secoli.

Ricordiamo l’origine di questa festa che risale al 1908, quando un gruppo di operaie di una industria tessile di New York scioperò come forma di protesta contro le terribili condizioni in cui si trovavano a lavorare.
Lo sciopero proseguì per diverse giornate ma fu proprio l’8 marzo che la proprietà dell’azienda bloccò le uscite della fabbrica, impedendo alle operaie di uscire dalla stessa.
Un incendio ferì mortalmente 129 operai, tra cui anche delle donne italiane che, come le altre, cercavano di migliorare la loro condizione di vita.

Ad accompagnare la serata in memoria dell’8 marzo ci saranno gli Alti & Bassi:

“High & Low” è per prima cosa una sfida. Quella di riuscire a fare musica con gli unici mezzi di cui una cantante e un bassista possono disporre: quattro corde, una voce, e niente altro. Ogni arrangiamento è per forza di cose ottenuto per sottrazione, e tolti tutti i fronzoli, quello che resta è melodia, basse frequenze, accenti e silenzi. Una scelta radicale che riduce ogni brano al suo scheletro armonico e ritmico, ma che crea un sound che è già di per sé arrangiamento.
“High & Low” è però anche un levarsi lo sfizio di liofilizzare nella formula “voice’n’bass”qualunque pezzo ci vada di suonare, senza nessun condizionamento di genere, autore, periodo. Ecco perché il repertorio abbraccia il brit-pop e l’R’nB, passando per il funky e la melodia italiana.
Infine, “High & Low” è un continuo esperimento. Che serve a scoprire cosa succede mescolando in parti uguali le retrovie del palco e la ribalta, il ruolo solista per eccellenza con il più gregario tra gli strumenti, e togliendo tutto quello che c’è in mezzo.
