Al Parco di San Michele tremila piantine saranno messe a dimora dagli alunni delle scuole cagliaritane

Sabato 30 novembre alle ore 9.30 nel Parco di San Michele si celebra, in collaborazione con l’Associazione Legambiente, la Festa degli Alberi 2013 dedicata ai bambini nati negli ultimi due anni.
Verranno messe a dimora su uno dei versanti orientali 3000 essenze di macchia termoxerofila costiera mediterranea per la gran parte auto prodotte nel vivaio comunale di Corongiu.
Parteciperanno alla cerimonia il sindaco Massimo Zedda, l’assessore all’Ambiente Paolo Frau, il presidente di Legambiente Vincenzo Tiana e numerose scolaresche accompagnate dagli insegnanti.

Le radici, elemento fondamentale di contrasto al dissesto idrogeologico, sono il tema della Giornata Nazionale 2013. Per questo a Cagliari abbiamo scelto un’area del Colle di San Michele, di circa 8˙000 mq, che potrà molto beneficiare del consolidamento generato dalle radici dei nuovi alberi.

La manifestazione era inizialmente prevista per sabato 23 novembre ed è stata spostata al 30 novembre per le avverse condizioni meteo.At the Park of San Michele three thousand seedlings will be planted by the pupils of the schools in Cagliari
