Prendono il via venerdì 27 giugno, a Carloforte, i festeggiamenti per la “Festa de San Pè”, ricorrenza dedicata al Santo apostolo patrono dell’isola e dei pescatori. Da domani a domenica 29, l’isola ospiterà tanti appuntamenti tra devozione e intrattenimento, organizzati dall’Amministrazione Comunale, in collaborazione con le associazioni sportive locali.

Come ogni anno, tornano i giochi della tradizione: venerdì si comincia alle ore 19, alla Calata Mamma Mahon, con l’albero della cuccagna della tradizione carlofortina, conosciuto con il nome di “pittalò”, mentre sabato sono in programma, il tiro alla fune in Piazza della Repubblica (alle 10.30) e la gara con i sacchi in Corso Tagliafico (11.30), dedicata ai ragazzi entro i quattordici anni. La domenica i giochi acquatici: alle ore 10.30, la gara di canoe alla Diga nord e l’esibizione velica con winsurf e 420 al porto di Carloforte (parte Nord); alle 11.30, alla Calata Mamma Mahon parte invece la gara di nuoto. Domenica, giorno di San Pietro e Paolo, è la giornata dedicata agli appuntamenti religiosi con la messa solenne nella Chiesa di San Pietro Apostolo alle ore 19, cui seguirà la Processione per le vie del paese con la partecipazione dei Cristi della Confraternita del Santissimo Sacramento di Montesignano e Santa Maria di Terpi. Alle 20, è prevista l’antica e suggestiva processione che si conclude a mare, dove il simulacro del Santo, accompagnato da barche addobbate a festa e da suoni variamente modulati di fischi e sirene, viene condotto in lungo e in largo per il porto.

Sabato e domenica, dalle ore 21, spazio anche alle degustazioni alla Calata Mamma Mahon, dove sarà proposta la “frittura del pescatore”, in onore del santo patrono, che comprende frittura di pesce fresco, focacce fritte, capunadda di pomodori e facusse, gallette, birra o vino, frutta, un bicchiere di moscato ed un dolcetto tipico carlofortino (ticket 10euro). In programma, anche musica e spettacoli. Sabato, alle 22, in Piazza della Repubblica, spazio al concerto della cover band cagliaritana “Condizionisonore”. Domenica, sempre alle 22, sempre in Piazza della Repubblica, i “Rock Driver” in concerto. A seguire, dalle ore 23.15, lo spettacolo pirotecnico “Arteficia” dal porto di Carloforte.

In occasione della festa, le compagnie di traghetti effettueranno corse a prezzi promozionali. La “Saremar” effettua corse di andata e ritorno da Calasetta a 5,30euro e da Portovesme a 5,20euro.
