Il Monte Albo, ricadente nei Comuni di Lula, Lodè, Siniscola, Loculi, Irgoli, Galtelli, è una lunghissima cordigliera di bianco calcare del Mesozoico che si sviluppa in direzione Sud Ovest- Nord Est per circa 14 Km con le sue punte più alte di P. Catirina e P. Turuddò entrambe alte m 1127 e P. Cupett di m 1029. Si tratta di un’ importante area carsica con molteplici peculiarità che la rendono unica con endemismi sia faunistici che botanici, alcuni esclusivi di questo luogo…. molto interessante dal punto di vista ambientale, naturalistico paesaggistico, geologico..ricco di grotte, profonde voragini, campi carsici, lapiez, doline, inghiottitoi, acquiferi sotterranei, ma sono totalmente assenti corsi d’acqua superficiali…

The Monte Albo, falling in the towns of Lula, Lodè, Siniscola, Loculi, Irgoli, Galtellì, it is a very long mountain range of white limestone of Mesozoic which develops in the direction of South West- North East for about 14 km with its highest peaks of Catirina P. and P. Turuddò both high and 1127 m 1029 m of P. Cupett it is a ‘karst area with many important features that make it unique and endemic fauna is that botanists, some unique to this place …. very interesting from the point of view of the environment, natural landscape, geologico..ricco of caves, deep gorges, karst fields, lapiez, dolines, underground aquifers, but are totally absent surface watercourses …
