Bella gola dalle guglie calcaree, dove si susseguono antichi siti minerari. Partiremo col visitare i ruderi della miniera di Acquaresi, quindi percorrendo l’antico sentiero dei minatori raggiungeremo la Gola del rio Gutturu Cardaxius.
Dopo esserci incantati alle sue splendide formazioni rocciose ci inoltreremo nella vicina vallata sino a giungere al sito di Planudentis.
Una piccola deviazione ci permetterà di godere dello spettacolo della gola dall’alto e del “Suercone” del sud Sardegna: ferita dovuta all’azione dell’uomo! Proseguiremo per il villaggio minerario di Grugua passando davanti all’antica villa dei Modigliani.
Prima di raggiungere questi siti incontreremo un inghiottitoio carsico dove vedremmo il rio sparire nelle viscere della terra. Ancora una sosta alla miniera di S. Luigi per tornare poi sui nostri passi.
Sono necessari gli scarponi da trekking ben impermeabilizzati.
I due robusti bustoni di plastica è meglio entrino ormai a far parte del bagaglio del nostro zaino: anche qui vari guadi li potrebbero rendere utili.
In questa stagione è consigliabile portare un cambio completo da lasciare in auto

Beautiful gorge of the limestone pinnacles , where there are ancient mining sites . We will start by visiting the ruins of the mine Acquaresi , then along the ancient path of the miners reach the gorge of the Rio Gutturu Cardaxius .
After being enchanted with its beautiful rock formations we will forward the nearby valley until reaching the site Planudentis .
A small deviation will allow us to enjoy the spectacle of the gorge from the top and the ” Suercone ” southern Sardinia injury due to the action of man! We will continue to the mining village of Grugua passing the ancient villa of Modigliani.
Before reaching these sites meet a karst sinkhole where we would see the river disappear into the bowels of the earth. Another stop at the mine of S. Louis before returning to retrace our steps .
You need your hiking boots well waterproofed .
The two big bags of sturdy plastic is better come now to join the baggage of our backpack : here several fords could make them useful .
In this season it is advisable to bring a complete change from leave in the car
