ECHI LONTANI 2013 – CAGLIARI – 21 MARZO – 21 GIUGNOECHOES FAR 2013 – CAGLIARI – MARCH 21 TO JUNE 21

Cari amici di Echi lontani,

REMA, la Rete Europea dei Festival di Musica Antica  di cui siamo membri effettivi dal 2012, ha organizzato per il 21 Marzo 2013 la Prima Giornata Europea della Musica Antica. A questa importante Giornata, che abbiamo fatto coincidere con l’inizio di Echi lontani 2013, noi dedichiamo diversi appuntamenti: una Tavola Rotonda al mattino, una Conferenza  al pomeriggio, ed un serale Concerto-Buffet dedicato a John Dowland per il suo 450° anniversario dalla nascita con il Duo Victor Soares e Michele Carreca.

Pasqua a Cagliari, che dopo Dowland propone Purcell (Ensemble La Selva, 23 Marzo) per una due giorni ‘british’, si chiude Mercoledì 27 Marzo con le Leçons de Ténèbres scritte da François Couperin proprio per il Mercoledì Santo (Ensemble Les Musiciens).

La problematica sorta negli ultimi anni intorno all’uso del Violoncello nella musica di J.S. Bach ci ha fornito lo spunto per proporre, in due Concerti, l’esecuzione integrale delle Suites per Violoncello di J.S. Bach. Il doppio appuntamento (6 e 28 Aprile) verrà preceduto e introdotto da una Conferenza (6 Aprile) tenuta da Marc Vanscheeuwijck (Professore Associato di  Musicologia presso l’Università dell’Oregon [U.S.A.]) e le Suites verranno eseguite il 6 Aprile da Ronan Kernoa con il Violoncello barocco (suonato da gamba) mentre il 28 Aprile sarà la volta di Ryo Terakado con il Violoncello barocco (suonato da spalla). Anche l’appuntamento dell’8 Giugno con l’ Ensemble Braccio ruota intorno alle diverse variabili sull’uso dello strumento definito ‘Violoncello’ e sull’uso del “Consort” della famiglia del Violino.

Nel 2013 ricorre il 300° anniversario dalla morte di Arcangelo Corelli che raggiunse in vita un alto livello di celebrità; il suo stile compositivo è stato un punto di riferimento per un lunghissimo periodo anche dopo la sua morte. Ci è sembrato interessante, quindi, puntare l’attenzione su trascrizioni ed elaborazioni di opere corelliane che verranno proposte in quattro appuntamenti dal Diagramma Ensemble (13 Aprile), InchordisTrio (18 Maggio), l’Ensemble l’Amoroso di Guido Balestracci (1 Giugno) ed Il Coro d’Arcadia di Alessandro Ciccolini (15 Giugno).

Prosegue il Progetto SCHOLA -Piattaforma per Scuole Europee di Musica Antica che quest’anno annovera le visite prestigiose della “Guildhall School of Music and Drama” di Londra (Ensemble Poeticall Musicke, 24 Aprile) e del “Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse” di Lione ( Consort Brouillamini, 4 Maggio in un orario che consenta poi, a chi lo desidera, di andare ad assistere al rientro di Sant’Efisio).

Le Feste Musicali per Sant’Efisio sono interamente dedicate al ricordo di Gustav Leonhardt ad un anno dalla scomparsa; ricordiamo con affetto ed orgoglio l’unica tappa in Sardegna di Gustav Leonhardt che tenne un Concerto memorabile presso l’Auditorium di Piazzetta Dettori di Cagliari il 30 Aprile 2002 per l’Ottava Edizione di Echi lontani. Uno dei più rappresentativi allievi della sua scuola, Menno van Delft, gli dedicherà due Recital uno al Clavicembalo (30 Aprile) ed uno all’Organo (il tradizionale Concerto organistico del 1° Maggio). A conclusione della tre giorni dedicata a Leonhardt, il 2 Maggio verrà proiettato il film del 1967 Chronik der Anna Magdalena Bach dove la figura di J.S. Bach è interpretata proprio da Gustav Leonhardt che mette in risalto la grande abilità musicale richiesta per quella parte (tra le musiche eseguite anche l’esecuzione dell’assolo per Clavicembalo del V Concerto Brandeburghese).

Ancora, l’ EsaEnsemble con il suo Concerto Rosa das Rosas (11 Maggio) evoca atmosfere medioevali, mentre l’Ensemble Rosantico (25 Maggio), con le Danzatrici Letizia Dradi ed Enrica Sabatini, propongono Danze Rinascimentali e Barocche riprendendo la pratica quattrocentesca del ‘Danzar tra Dame’.

Infine, la costante attenzione agli Organi Storici restaurati. Il 5 Maggio il II Concerto d’Inaugurazione dell’Organo “Giuseppe Lazzari, 1772” della Parrocchiale di Guamaggiore ( Fabiana Ciampi all’Organo e Fabio Tricomi alle Percussioni, Violino e Flauti) e tra il 21 ed il 23 Giugno, per la Festa Europea della Musica che segna anche la conclusione della parte primaverile di Echi lontani, a Cagliari, Oristano ed Iglesias, tre Concerti organistici con due repertori diversi affidati a Sergio Chierici.

REMA, the European Network of Early Music Festival of which we are members in 2012, he arranged for March 21, 2013 the First European Day of Early Music. On this important day, we did coincide with the start of echoes far away 2013, we devote several events: a round table in the morning, a conference in the afternoon, and an evening concert dedicated to John Dowland-Buffet for its 450th anniversary from birth with the Duo Victor Soares and Michael Carreca.

Easter in Cagliari, after Dowland proposes Purcell (Ensemble La Selva, March 23) for a two days ‘british’, closes Wednesday, March 27 with Leçons de Ténèbres written by François Couperin just for the Wednesday of Holy Week (Ensemble Les Musiciens).

The problem which has arisen in recent years about the use of the cello in the music of JS Bach gave us an opportunity to propose, in two Concerts, the complete performance of the Cello Suites by JS Bach. The double date (6 and April 28) will be preceded and introduced by a conference (April 6th) held by Marc Vanscheeuwijck (Associate Professor of Musicology at the University of Oregon [USA]) and Suites will be performed on April 6 by Ronan Kernoa with baroque cello (played by leg) and April 28 will be the turn of Ryo Terakado with baroque cello (played by shoulder). Even the appointment of 8 June with the ‘Ensemble arm revolves around the different variables using the tool called’ Cello ‘and use the “Consort” of the violin family.

In 2013 marks the 300th anniversary of the death of Arcangelo Corelli in life that reached a high level of celebrity, his compositional style has been a reference point for a very long time even after his death. It seemed interesting, therefore, to focus attention on transcription and processing of Corellian works that will be offered in four appointments Diagram Ensemble (April 13), InchordisTrio (May 18), the Ensemble of the Amoroso Guido Balestracci (June 1 ) and The Choir of Arcadia Alessandro Ciccolini (June 15).

Continues the project SCHOLA-platform European Schools of Ancient Music, which this year includes visits prestigious “Guildhall School of Music and Drama” in London (Ensemble Poeticall Musicke, April 24) and the “Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse “Lyon (Consort Brouillamini, May 4 at a time that allows then, if you wish, of going to the return of Sant’Efisio).

Musical Feasts for Sant’Efisio are dedicated to the memory of Gustav Leonhardt a year after his death, we remember with affection and pride the only stage in Sardinia Gustav Leonhardt who gave a memorable concert at the Auditorium of the Piazzetta Dettori Cagliari April 30, 2002 to the Eighth Edition of Echoes away. One of the most representative students in her school, Menno van Delft, will dedicate two to one Harpsichord Recital (April 30) and a Body (the traditional organ concert May 1). At the end of three days dedicated to Leonhardt, May 2nd will be a screening of the 1967 film Chronicle der Anna Magdalena Bach where the figure of JS Bach is played just by Gustav Leonhardt which highlights the great musical ability required for that part (between the music performed and the carrying of the solo of the fifth Brandenburg Concerto for Harpsichord).

Still, the ‘EsaEnsemble with his Concerto Rosa das Rosas (May 11) evokes a medieval atmosphere, while the Ensemble Rosantico (May 25), with the Dancers Letizia Dradi and Enrica Sabatini, Renaissance and Baroque Dances propose resuming the practice of the fifteenth century’ Danzar between Dame ‘.

Finally, the constant attention to Historic Organs restored. On May 5, the second Inauguration Concert Organ “Joseph Lazzari, 1772″ of the Parish of Guamaggiore (Fabiana Ciampi Body and Fabio Tricomi to Percussion, Violin and Flutes) and between 21 and 23 June, the Feast European Music which also marks the end of the spring of echoes far away, in Cagliari, Oristano and Iglesias, three organ concerts with two different repertoires entrusted to Sergio Clerics.
