DROMOS FESTIVAL – ORISTANO – FROM JULY 29 TO AUGUST 16
The Festival Dromos 2012, now in its fourteenth edition, and as most of the previous editions will be characterized by the presence of international artists and will be proposed as an event by local geographical and cultural horizons wider and wider. In the backdrop, but it would be more correct to say, to interact in a role of supporting actors, the most beautiful urban spaces and natural ORISTANO of Commons and RIOLA SARDO with their marinas, and Nurachi Baratili SAN PIETRO.The fourteenth edition of the festival will be entitled ¡SANTA Hispanidad!. Hispanidad The term refers, generally, the community formed by all the peoples and nations who share a language and Hispanic culture, whether direct or derivative, and all that complex of purely cultural character of their Spanish-speaking countries. Most widely consciousness can be defined Hispanidad an ideal link between Spain and the countries originated from the Spanish conquest of America, having a common spiritual heritage, culture and religion. To these are added to parts of Africa and Europe as well as several Italian regions, including Sardinia, where the feeling dell’Hispanidad, the result of nearly four hundred years of Spanish rule still permeates the language, customs, festivals and religious rites. Dromos thus accentuate its strong ties with the territory, with the stated purpose of enriching the cultural and recreational facilities in the summer months and, simultaneously, to decentralize the various initiatives in the countries of the Interior, revives and to rediscover the reality more authentic and less cartolinesca Island, anticipating and preparing for summer events with initiatives related to cultural traditions (from Carnival to Easter) and searching through themed itineraries and trakking urban matrix that art of the Iberian still present in the municipalities that will host the festival (picapedrers of the work, the production of fine silversmiths from the fourteenth to the eighteenth century., the exuberant work of wood carvers and their carvings estofado de oro …).Now, if the theme dell’Hispanidad is able to weave relationships between geographical areas as distant, populations and cultural traditions as varied, the festival Dromos, through this web that is both artistic, musical, literary, philosophical and spiritual, we propose to create a multicultural and multi-centered event, in which, with a half-breed approach, we can go together, that “way” from Spain that goes way beyond the Iberian peninsula, through the guidance provided by the rich and diverse heritage demo-anthropological literature , visual arts, from film, theater, and dance and, above all, the music, with jazz dictating guidelines, with its ability to act as a kind of “contact” and contamination with other worlds of music scene But today, always looking for that thread made dall’Hispanidah. In this sense of identity, this explosion of diverse cultures and yet intimately connected, in a mix that fuses bold and irreverent manifestations of celebration and rituals related to the Sacred prim, see, exactly, the fourteenth edition of the Drome. It will be the triumph of the fiesta and its rituals capable of merging, in a disrespectful freedom, the dimension of spirituality with a vitality not profane. The fiesta will be darkly baroque rituals of Holy Week, will be the overwhelming and hypnotic rhythms of the Caribbean, will be the wild horse and riders, will be the slow processions in honor of martyred saints truculentemente, the dances will be cathartic and diviners, the melodies are sensual and sounds poised between past and future. It will, in view of the Drome Festival, Sangre de fiesta and celebration of the senses.WHERE: Dromos the festival this year will take place in different countries of Sardinia: Oristano, Mogo, Nurachi, Nureci (Mama blues, the festival dedicated to the blues) Baratili St. Peter and Olmedo (festival Baranta).
