Dawn Penn is the undisputed queen of Jamaican Reggae. He achieved worldwide fame with his hit “(No, No, No) You Do not Love Me” in the summer of ’94, climbing the charts in the U.S., Europe and Jamaica. Few people know, however, that in fact this song was already a few decades old …
Dawn Penn has partnered with the largest and best known manufacturers and Jamaican artists beginning in the sixties. She won first place in the standings with Johnny Nash and recorded several singles for major record label: Prince Buster, Jackpot, and more. It is in this glorious era that the Queen of Reggae began collaborating with Studio One Clement “Sir Coxsone” Dodd, recording, among many, just the super hit Jamaican “(No, No, No) You Do not Love Me. “
