La manifestazione DanzEstate, organizzata dall’associazione culturale ASMED all’interno del più ampio progetto Il viaggio del gesto: Itinerari multidisciplinari nel contesto urbano per il cittadino del mondo, sostenuto dal Comune di Cagliari, colorerà l’estate cagliaritana coinvolgendo abitanti e turisti nel mondo della danza, della musica e del teatro. Lo spettacolo e la cultura andranno incontro alla gente, cercandola e sorprendendola nella sua quotidianità , la faranno divertire, emozionare e, addirittura, danzare. Le strade, i parchi, le piazze e le spiagge di Cagliari, dal 21 agosto al 7 settembre, saranno le tappe principali di una proposta artistica variegata, adatta a tutti i gusti e tutte le età : spettacoli di danza e teatro, laboratori multidisciplinari, incursioni teatrali e la presentazione finale di un’originale coreografia che coinvolgerà i cittadini nella cornice dei quattro quartieri storici, per far danzare tutta la città .
Con DanzEstate le arti performative si faranno strumento di promozione culturale e sociale per favorire la riscoperta di se stessi, l’incontro con l’altro e la crescita dell’individuo in un contesto sociale e urbano divenuto ormai sin troppo frenetico per prestare attenzione alle cose più semplici, dalle meraviglie di Cagliari all’ascolto di chi ci sta accanto. In questo senso la danza e il teatro sono linguaggi universali e versatili che favoriscono la presa di coscienza del rapporto col proprio corpo e la riscoperta delle proprie potenzialità , elementi imprescindibili per riuscire a volgere lo sguardo verso l’altro e condividere nuove esperienze, sentendosi così realizzati anche attraverso lo scambio.
Il programma in cartellone presenta sei spettacoli di danza e teatro (due dei quali rivolti ad un pubblico di bambini, ragazzi e famiglie), due laboratori multidisciplinari, due incursioni teatrali e due esiti scenici. Una proposta vivace e spensierata, in cui non mancheranno momenti di incanto e spunti riflessivi. DanzEstate farĂ da sfondo alla stagione estiva e tutta la cittadinanza si sentirĂ direttamente coinvolta, sia come pubblico che come diretti partecipanti, soprattutto coloro che, per varie ragioni, hanno poca familiaritĂ con gli spazi teatrali tradizionali.
Ad aprire la manifestazione giovedì 21 agosto, il laboratorio di danza, teatro e percussioni “Corpi sonori. Le donne, i cavallier, le armi, gli amori”, diretto da Senio G.B. Dattena, Cristina Locci e Marco Caredda. Il progetto consiste nella realizzazione di un laboratorio di danza, musica e teatro rivolto ad artisti e appassionati di arti performative. Il laboratorio trarrĂ spunto dalla straordinaria musicalitĂ dei versi dell’Orlando Furioso, scelto per la sua vitalitĂ e per quegli elementi che gli conferiscono pathos e suspense: il duello, lo scontro e la tenzone amorosa. Il regista, la coreografa e il musicista guideranno in questa indagine un gruppo di persone che, armate del proprio corpo e dei piĂą disparati oggetti sonori (piatti, tubi, bidoni …), daranno vita ai versi del poema. Una ricerca che assicurerĂ il coinvolgimento e divertimento del pubblico. Le attivitĂ si svolgeranno fino al 6 settembre.
Giovedì 28 agosto alle ore 21,00 alla Galleria Comunale d’Arte (spazio all’aperto) la compagnia ASMED-Balletto di Sardegna presenta “Baba Yaga” di Senio G. B. Dattena, coreografato e interpretato da Cristina Locci, Francesca Assiero Brà e Luana Maoddi, con in scena lo stesso Dattena. Lo spettacolo è un riadattamento della fiaba popolare russa, fonte d’ispirazione di numerosi racconti della letteratura slava del XIX secolo. In essi Baba Yaga è descritta spesso come una strega cattiva, a volte come fonte di consiglio. Dietro ordine della perfida matrigna la bella Vassilissa si avventura nel bosco per farsi dare del fuoco dalla terribile Baba Yaga, la quale metterà alla prova la fanciulla, malgrado la forte tentazione di mangiarla in un solo boccone. La messa in scena valorizza la bellezza della fiaba unendo danza, musica e recitazione in una pièce brillante e dalle atmosfere suggestive. Lo spettacolo replicherà venerdì 29 agosto alle ore 21,00 al Parco della Musica.
Il terzo appuntamento prosegue domenica 31 agosto alle ore 21,00 con un’incursione teatrale che partirà dal Lido per approdare all’anfiteatro Marina Piccola. La compagnia Gurdulù Teatro inviterà gli abitanti ad unirsi nel suo percorso danzante con “La discesa dei giullari”, spettacolo multidisciplinare di Maurizio Giordo, con il contributo creativo di Dario Buonanno, Federica Cabigiosu, Bianca Lay, Daniele Migheli, Daniela Simula, Sheila Suozzi e Fabio Tanda. Imperdibile sarà il gran finale di effetti speciali con il fuoco, grandi bandiere, un mix di acrobatica e giocoleria comica, coreografie e affabulazione.
Martedì 2 settembre alle ore 21,00 andrĂ in scena al Parco della Musica la compagnia sassarese Danza Estemporada con “Studio per The Wall” nuova produzione di Livia Lepri, in prima assoluta. Liberamente tratto dal capolavoro dei Pink Floyd del 1982, il lavoro vuole iniziare un viaggio attraverso tre chiavi di lettura principali: autobiografia, osservazione critica e sociale, evoluzione della follia. L’educazione scolastica nel periodo della rivoluzione studentesca del ’68 è il punto di partenza di questo studio.
Seguirà mercoledì 3 settembre alle ore 18,00 nella spiaggia del Poetto un’altra prima assoluta: l’incursione teatrale “Acque troppo calme”, con la partecipazione di danzatori, attori e artisti circensi, per la regia di Senio G. B. Dattena, una coproduzione Teatro Barbaro/Asmed. La performance ha come obiettivo quello di agitare le acque, in senso letterario e metaforico, creando stupore e meraviglia negli spettatori/bagnanti. Dalle acque del nostro splendido mare emergeranno diverse strane creature. Alcune di queste si riveleranno essere degli artisti su trampoli, capaci di respirare sott’acqua grazie ad una particolare dotazione tecnica. Una volta sulla spiaggia compiranno delle danze particolari, proseguiranno poi il loro cammino sulla sabbia fino a scomparire in lontananza. Una performance visionaria dagli alti contenuti artistici e tecnici e di sicuro impatto emotivo.
Giovedì 4 settembre alle ore 21,00 nel Parco Monte Urpinu i piccoli spettatori e le loro famiglie si diletteranno con lo spettacolo della compagnia di Paulilatino, Teatro Instabile, per la regia di Aldo Sicurella. TitirigĂĽito è un pagliaccio ingenuo e buono, che proviene da un posto molto lontano chiamato Titirigua.
Egli porta con sĂ© una valigia piena di oggetti che sorprendono il mondo
nuovo dove arriva, tuttavia qualcosa gli manca. Siccome un pagliaccio non può restare da solo, il clown Tarista accompagnerĂ TitirigĂĽito in tutto il suo viaggio per questo mondo nuovo e lo aiuterĂ a trovare quello che gli manca
e che per il pubblico coinvolto sarĂ estremamente contagioso: l’ allegria.
Venerdì 5 settembre alle ore 21,00 al Bastione Saint Remy sarĂ dedicato uno spazio speciale alla urban dance. Asier Zabaleta della CompañĂa Ertza dei Paesi Baschi presenterĂ il solo da lui coreografato “Adiòs a los que os habĂ©is ido” (Addio a quelli che sono andati), un addio a tutte le persone che hanno perso la vita durante il conflitto vissuto nei Paesi Baschi negli ultimi 40 anni. Ispirato all’Aurresku, la danza tradizionale basca, questo lavoro ricorda coloro che hanno perso la vita nel conflitto. Asier Zabaleta ha fondato la Compagnia Ertza nel 2004 con l’intento di aprire un nuovo spazio creativo in cui potessero interagire diverse discipline artistiche come danza, teatro, arti plastiche e linguaggio audio-visivo.
La stessa compagnia, stavolta con più interpreti (Chimid Badmaev, Pedro Alfonso Vilas, Sergio Nguema, Thiago Luiz Almeida), continuerà la serata di spettacolo alle ore 21.40 con lo spettacolo “4X4” (coreografie Asier Zabaleta con la collaborazione degli interpreti). Una pièce di danza urbana che intinge di umorismo i singolari movimenti degli esecutori celebrando il diritto di essere diversi. Prendendo come punto di partenza le battaglie di danza rivalità , si sviluppa una danza frenetica in cui diversi stili si fondono in uno solo, spinta da un’energia che non smette di crescere. Il lavoro si è aggiudicato il premio Miglior Spettacolo Basco Umore Azoka 2013.
Sabato 6 settembre alle ore 21,00, lo scenario incantevole del Bastione Saint Remy farà da sfondo all’esito del laboratorio “Corpi sonori. Le donne, i cavallier, le armi, gli amori” con le coreografie di Cristina Locci, per la regia di Senio Giovanni Barbaro Dattena e Marco Caredda alle percussioni.
La vera grande novità di DanzEstate 2014 è rappresentata dal progetto “Danze Senza Quartiere – Quattro coreografi per quattro quartieri”, vero e proprio confronto artistico “a passi di danza” fra i quartieri Castello, Stampace, Marina e Villanova. Per ogni fazione saranno selezionati 10-15 partecipanti, che indosseranno il colore rappresentativo di quel quartiere. Non sarà necessaria la residenza nei quartieri coinvolti, ma un legame di qualsiasi tipo, come l’aver vissuto nella zona per qualche tempo o averci lavorato, la provenienza di un genitore o parente, ecc. Il fine è quello di coinvolgere i cittadini di tutti i quartieri, mettendo in luce i legami che ciascuno ha con la storia e la cultura della città , favorendo così la coesione sociale e territoriale. Nei prossimi giorni si apriranno le iscrizioni ai quattro gruppi di lavoro che dal 31 agosto al 6 settembre vedranno la preparazione di vere e proprie coreografie dietro la guida esperta di Rossella Castello, Paolo Corda, Joseph Fontano e Livia Lepri.
Lo spettacolo finale “Danze Senza Quartiere” andrà in scena domenica 7 settembre alle ore 21,00 in Piazza San Giacomo. I partecipanti ai laboratori mostreranno al pubblico il frutto del loro lavoro, a dimostrazione che la danza appartiene a tutti e può essere praticata da tutti. Sarà uno spettacolo originale, creato con i cagliaritani e per i cagliaritani, per riscoprire insieme la forza della cultura cagliaritana e sarda attraverso nuovi e inconsueti canali, tra cui appunto, la danza.

Opening the event Thursday, August 21, the workshop of dance, theater and percussion “Bodies sound. Women, knights, arms, loves, “directed by Senio GB Dattena, Cristina and Marco Locci Caredda. Thursday, August 28 at 21:00 at the Galleria Comunale d’Arte (open space), the company ASMED-Balletto di Sardegna presents “Baba Yaga” by Senio GB Dattena, choreographed and performed by Cristina Locci, Francesca Assiero Bra and Luana Maoddi with in the same scene Dattena. The show is an adaptation of the Russian folk tale, a source of inspiration for many stories of Slavic literature of the nineteenth century. In them, Baba Yaga is often described as an evil witch, sometimes as a source of advice. The real big news DanzEstate 2014 is represented by the project “Dances Without Quarter – Four choreographers for four quarters,” real artistic confrontation “with dance steps” between neighborhoods Castle, Stampace, Marina and Villanova. For each faction 10-15 participants will be selected, who will wear the color representative of that district. It will not be necessary residence in the neighborhoods involved, but a bond of any kind, such as having lived in the area for some time or having worked, the origin of a parent or relative, and so on. The aim is to involve citizens in all districts, highlighting the links that each has with the history and culture of the city, thus promoting social and territorial cohesion. In the coming days we will open enrollment to the four working groups that from 31 August to 6 September will see the preparation of real choreography behind the expert guidance of Ross Castle, Paul Rope, Joseph Fontano and Livia Lepri.
The final show “Dances Without Quarter” will be staged on Sunday, September 7th at 21.00 in Piazza San Giacomo. Participants in the workshops will show the public the result of their work, demonstrating that dance belongs to everyone and can be practiced by everyone. It will be an original show, created by and for the people of Cagliari Cagliari, to rediscover together the power of Cagliari and Sardinian culture through new and unusual channels, including of course, dance.
