This year the company presents the musical “DANCING ON CHICAGO” (Loosely based on the musical Chicago)

“Dancing on Chicago,” a musical irony and fascinating, sang live, a type of show that combines dance, singing and acting in a unique and exciting performance, which requires an artistic versatile performers.

Chicago, 20 years. Velma Kelly is a star of the nightclub, who is arrested for murdering her husband and sister after finding a relationship between the two. Roxie Hart is famous and he dreams of becoming a famous artist in vaudeville. When cold-blooded killing her lover, convinces her husband Amos that the victim is a thief and he takes the rap. But Amos discovers the truth, and Roxie is arrested. The women’s prison in Cook County, where two inmates are murderers is chaired by the matron Mama Morton who has established, with the prisoners, a system of mutual assistance and favors. Mama Velma helps to be on the front page of a newspaper, and organizes’s big return to vaudeville. The release of Velma is safe because it is the defense lawyer Billy Flinn. Roxie also, for fear of the death penalty, can be defended by Billy, he reconstructs the story telling reporters another version of the truth, making it the new attraction in Chicago and this undermines the reputation of Velma. Velma Thus, through clenched teeth, Roxie proposes to stage a show together, to exploit the popularity of both, but Roxie refuses. Behind the story, told with sarcasm, lies a court case actually occurred in 1924 and based in Chicago from the headlines of the time. The characters are inspired by two women arrested for the murder of their husbands. Both were acquitted of their charges, but the murders became front-page stories for the Tribune newspaper reporter with a news story dealing with the ironically managed to attract the interest of readers. The supposed pregnancy used to speed up the process, the lawyer hypocrite who instigates the media frenzy and procures absolution for both women, they created a vision of reality so distorted as to inspire a subject for a musical.
