DALL’ISOLA DELL’ISOLA DI UNA PENISOLA – CARLOFORTE – 18-22 SETTEMBRE 2013FROM THE ISLAND THE ISLE OF THE PENINSULA – CARLOFORTE – SEPTEMBER 18 TO 22

Per il diciassettesimo anno consecutivo torna a Carloforte il festival Dall’isola dell’isola di una penisola, organizzato da Botti du Schoggiu con la direzione artistica di Susanna Mannelli.

Un’edizione molto speciale, quella che si terrà dal 18 al 22 settembre, sia per il periodo di programmazione che perde il tradizionale fine agosto, sia perché il festival quest’anno abbandona la tradizionale struttura di programmazione per ruotare attorno al progetto teatrale sviluppato dalla compagnia carlofortina Cronopios questa estate nei territori occupati della Palestina. Il progetto ha previsto che da maggio ad agosto gli attori della compagnia carlofortina sono stati parte del progetto di cooperazione europea che si svolge tra le città di Tulkarem e Ramallah e che ci vede partner dei nostri colleghi del Centro di Cultura e Arte per la Palestina Dar Qandeel.

Obiettivo, fondare una scuola d’arte internazionale per i giovani di questo distretto periferico. Come ha detto Susanna Mannelli, a capo del progetto “Questo luogo sulla bocca di tutti, dimenticato da tutti, come molti altri nel mondo, vive se esiste la volontà dell’incontro. Una piccola scuola nel distretto di Tulkarem,  (provincia Palestinese molto conservatrice) può essere l’ennesima formula di facciata che tiene in pace le coscienze “benpensanti” o può essere quel seme semplice piantato in terra arida, accudito curato, che non sboccerà in pianta veloce, rapido e insignificante come un O.G.M, ma vorrà il suo tempo per crescere speciale, protetto dalla verità e dall’amore di chi lo ha piantato. Tante mani diverse con diversi talenti si dedicano alla sua crescita.

L’albero ci sarà, non avrà un nome perché sarà diverso da tutti gli altri e non darà frutti peccaminosi, ma solo nutrimento e ristoro”. E ora, dopo i due mesi di lavoro in Palestina, l’isola di San Pietro  diventa “terra di semina” ospitando artisti del Dar Qandeel. E così dal 18 al 22 settembre sapori, suoni, colori  della Palestina si mescoleranno ai sapori, suoni e colori di Carloforte. Ma il programma del festival avrà anche una seconda sezione particolarmente spettacolare, venerdì 27, sabato 28 e domenica 29 settembre, quando l’isola sarà invasa da un’ARMADA di 10 imbarcazioni a vela e da 50 artisti che porteranno ancora spettacoli, storie, musica e cinema. L’ingresso a tutti gli spettacoli è gratuito.

Si inizia mercoledì 18 settembre alle ore 21.30 (Giardino Pomata) con il film documentario Water Project, 7 cortometraggi sul grave problema dell’acqua nei territori occupati palestinesi. un progetto curato dall’università di Tel-Aviv e realizzato da registi palestinesi e israeliani. Stesso luogo e orario, giovedì 19, altra proiezione, questa volta di Tomorow’s Land, documentario che racconta della piccola comunità di contadini e pastori di At-tuwani nei territori occupati e nell’area C, quindi sotto il controllo amministrativo e militare israeliano, per cui con impedimento alle coltivazioni e al pascolo. Ma ogni giorno pazientemente, contadini e pastori sfidano l’esercito lavorando nei propri orti e pascolando il bestiame. Venerdì 20, alle 19, inaugurazione, sempre nel Giardino Pomata, del progetto Il muro dentro, mostra fotografica ed installazione della fotografa Alice Benessia e del video-maker Juan Carlo Recaman. La mostra è visitabile fino a domenica 22.

Si prosegue alle ore 21 sul palco di Porta Leone, con Abbracci di note, concerto del gruppo palestinese dar Qandeel con la partecipazione di Cristina Vetrone delle Assurd. Si prosegue sabato 21 sempre sul palco di Porta Leone dove alle 21.30 il festival propone Tangram, uno spettacolo che esplora il confine tra danza e giocoleria, interpretato da due straordinari artisti, Stefan Sing e Cristiana Casadio. Lo spettacolo e un puzzle di emozioni, così come nel gioco cinese Tangram, i corpi vengono smontati e ricostruiti, manipolati come oggetti e mescolati con gli oggetti.

Chiusura domenica 20 con un mix di degustazioni di piatti tipici palestinesi (ore 13 Giardino Pomata) realizzati in collaborazione con Il tonno di corsa. Alle 21.30 il Giardino Pomata ospiterà anche Spaghettiswing … canzoni riviste e scorette, canzoni d’ altri tempi in un’esplosione di energia in cui la voce e le improvvisazioni jazzistiche di Piero Gesuè si fondono con le atmosfere swingheggianti ed il buonumore dei Camillocromo. It starts Wednesday, September 18 at 21.30 ( Garden Ointment ) with the documentary film Water Project , 7 short films on the serious problem of water in the occupied Palestinian territories . a project curated by the University of Tel- Aviv and produced by filmmakers Palestinians and Israelis. The same place and time , Thursday 19 , another screening , this time of Tomorow ‘s Land , a documentary that chronicles the small community of farmers and shepherds of At- Tuwani in the occupied territories and in C , then under the administrative control and Israeli military , for with which impediment to crops and pasture.
