Il Festival di Cuncambias, nasce nell’estate del 2004 per ricordare la persona di Alfonso “Anselmo” Spiga, drammaturgo, uomo di cultura e amico come pochi altri.
La parola Cuncambias, nella variante campidanese della lingua sarda significa “baratto, scambio”, e la manifestazione ha fatto del suo significato letterale la sua filosofia.
Cuncambias è un un progetto/Festival laboratoriale e gioioso, capace di affrontare il presente con le armi della cultura e della socialità, fatto di elementi di teatro, musica, letteratura, incontri, mostre, cultura del cibo e buone pratiche messi insieme a produrre qualcosa in più della somma degli ingredienti, ovvero una pietanza capace di stimolare gli appetiti intellettuali più esigenti e allo stesso tempo di “sfamare” in modo diretto e popolare i palati dei tanti che, da un prodotto culturale, pretendono soprattutto immediatezza e spunti collettivi.
Il Festival si svolge a San Sperate, in Sardegna, nell’ultima settimana del mese di luglio e, proprio in virtù della sua anima popolare, coinvolge l’intero rione storico di San Giovanni che si trasforma in spazio scenico allestito e abbellito con installazioni scenografiche permanenti che arricchiscono il suo tessuto urbano.
La suggestione dei vicoli, delle piazze e delle lollas del rione del resto, garantiscono quella atmosfera e quella convivialità tra artisti e spettatori che è una delle caratteristiche di Cuncambias: inutile dire come questo possa accadere solo grazie alla disponibilità e al senso civico degli abitanti, oltre che alla capacità degli organizzatori di renderli partecipi attori degli avvenimenti.
