si svolgerà quest’anno la 7° edizione di Creuza de mà che si svolgerà tra il 13 e il 15 settembre 2013 a Carloforte.
il festival ideato e organizzato dall’associazione culturale Backstage con la direzione artistica del regista Gianfranco Cabiddu, mantiene Formula e qualità degli ingredienti consueti, così come la location, Carloforte, il delizioso paese sull’isola di San Pietro, a mezz’ora di nave dal sud-ovest della Sardegna, con i suoi inconfondibili scorci, la parlata e le tradizioni in cui si riconoscono ancora le origini liguri.

Fra gli eventi in programma c’è una rarità: sabato 14 alle 21,30 sarà proiettato ‘Le avventure straordinarissime di Saturnino Farandolà, film del 1913 di Marcel Fabre musicato dal vivo da un grande protagonista del jazz italiano, il pianista Franco D’Andrea”, sottolinea Gianfranco Cabiddu.

Tra gli appuntamenti, il giorno prima è in programma la presentazione del documentario “Nanga Parbat – La montagna nuda” da parte del regista Renato Chiocca e dell’autore delle musiche Riccardo Giagni, intervistati da Luca Bandirali. Seguirà la proiezione de “L’innesto, padre e figlio: Lillino e Paolo Fresu” di Gianfranco Cabiddu. Questo e altro ancora nel calendario della rassegna che si chiude domenica 15 con la proiezione di alcuni dei più bei film in cui si è consacrata la collaborazione tra due grandi maestri del cinema: Peter Greenaway e Michael Nyman.

Il grande pianista e compositore inglese sarà protagonista a ottobre a Cagliari, di un concerto con data da definirsi. Creuza de Mà è l’ultimo capitolo del circuito Le Isole del Cinema, consorzio dei quattro festival che si tengono in altrettante isole della Sardegna: Tavolara,

VENERDI 13 SETTEMBRE

La settima edizione di Creuza de Mà si inaugura, dunque, venerdì 13 settembre: il taglio del nastro, al Cinema Mutua alle 18, è affidato come sempre alla proiezione di una clip che ripercorre le precedenti edizioni della manifestazione. Salutata l’apertura del festival, si rinnova l’appuntamento con gli incontri che approfondiscono l’intenso legame tra immagini e musica nella settima arte, riuniti sotto l’insegna “Master Musica per Cinema”: i primi due ospiti, intervistati da Luca Bandirali, sono Renato Chiocca e Riccardo Giagni (altro conduttore “storico” degli incontri di Creuza de Mà, per una volta nelle vesti di ospite), rispettivamente regista e autore delle musiche di “Nanga Parbat – La montagna nuda”, il documentario che viene proiettato prima dell’incontro. Girato nel 2008, il film è dedicato alla spedizione in Himalaya guidata dall’alpinista Daniele Nardi, alla conquista, appunto, del Nanga Parbat, la nona cima del mondo con i suoi oltre ottomila metri di altezza, ma anche una delle montagne in assoluto più difficili da scalare.

Cambio di latitudini ma non di intensità nel successivo incontro, dedicato a un altro documentario: “L’innesto, padre e figlio: Lillino e Paolo Fresu”. Diretto da Gianfranco Cabiddu, che ne parlerà al termine della proiezione con Luca Bandirali, il film scandaglia il rapporto tra i due uomini che dialogano in sardo, l’unica lingua per loro possibile: uno, Paolo, musicista di jazz, moderno, famoso in tutto il mondo; l’altro, il padre Lillino, quasi novantenne, un uomo che ha provato tutti i mestieri della campagna, dai faticosi lavori come bogadore di sughero e come operaio a giornata, al contadino, al pastore.

La chiusura della prima serata è all’insegna della musica: alle 21.30 l’altro cinema del paese, il Cavallera, ospita “Banda Sonora”, l’immancabile concerto della banda musicale “Città di Carloforte”, con un programma dedicato, come sempre, a celebri partiture di colonne sonore arrangiate ad hoc.

SABATO 14 SETTEMBRE

Sabato 14 gli appuntamenti partono fin dalla mattina. Alle 10.30 al Cinema Mutua è in programma un focus intitolato “I corti dell’Università La Sapienza”: vengono proposti cinque filmati – “Billie”, “Juni orchestra”, “La donna che sapeva troppo”, “Portal & Salis” e “Onra” – sfornati dagli studenti del Corso di editoria multimediale per lo spettacolo a maggio-giugno 2013 (durante il “Suona Francese – Festival di musica francese in Italia”), nell’ambito del progetto speciale dedicato ai nuovi linguaggi attivato dall’università capitolina con l’obiettivo di raccontare possibili interazioni tra forme d’arte applicata come il teatro, la musica e il cinema.

Altra infornata di incontri (ancora per la serie Master Musica per cinema) a partire dalle 18, per una ricca sessione al Cinema Mutua. Si parte con la visione de “I morti di Alos”, falso documentario che “immagina” l’esperienza dell’unico sopravvissuto a una terribile sciagura che colpisce un paese immaginario del centro Sardegna, trasformato in un tetro villaggio fantasma. Il regista del mockumentary Daniele Atzeni parteciperà poi alla conversazione con Luca Bandirali, che vedrà ospite anche Stefano Guzzetti, musicista e sound designer di “The spaceman and the moon”, il corto d’animazione basato sui bei disegni di Gabriele Pala che viene proiettato a chiusura dell’incontro.

Alle 19.30 ancora sul palco sale il pianista Franco D’Andrea, per una conversazione condotta dall’instancabile Luca Bandirali, che introduce e presenta l’evento clou della serata: poco più tardi, infatti, alle 21.30 sul palco del Cinema Cavallera, D’Andrea è atteso dalla sonorizzazione dal vivo de “Le avventure straordinarissime di Saturnino Farandola”, un film agli albori della fantascienza diretto e interpretato da Marcel Fabre nel 1913. Una vera e propria rarità, dato che il concerto ha un unico precedente che risale ormai a diversi anni fa. “Sono molto legato a questo film” dice il pianista: “è un’opera complessa e surreale ma anche ricca di storie e avventure. Per alcuni aspetti mi ricorda molto Verne. Quando l’ho visto per la prima volta sono rimasto molto colpito dagli effetti speciali, dal montaggio e dalle riprese, soprattutto dopo aver scoperto che è un film del 1913″.

DOMENICA 15 SETTEMBRE

La terza e ultima giornata è tutta all’insegna di una fortunata collaborazione tra un grande regista, Peter Greenaway, e un superbo compositore, Michael Nyman, che a cavallo tra gli anni ’70 e ’80, e attraverso più di dieci film, hanno rappresentato un sodalizio capace di scrivere pagine indelebili nella storia del cinema. L’Omaggio ai maestri si realizza con la visione (al cinema Mutua) di due dei loro film più famosi: alle 17.30 “L’ultima tempesta”, del 1991; alle 21.30 “I misteri del giardino di Compton House”, datato invece 1982. Un omaggio che il mese prossimo dovrebbe completarsi con un concerto di Nyman a Cagliari (data e luogo ancora da definire).

Anche quest’anno, a incorniciare il festival, ci sono due mostre fotografiche: “Sguardi nel tempo” (realizzata in collaborazione con il Centro Cinema Città di Cesena e per concessione del fondo Angelo Novi della Cineteca di Bologna), propone nel foyer del cinema Cavallera le immagini raccolte sui set di film storici; ospitata nel foyer del Mutua, “Creuza de Ma’ a Carloforte” ripercorre invece il cammino delle ultime edizioni del festival attraverso gli scatti del fotografo Eugenio Schirru.will take place this year the 7th edition of Creuza de ma that will take place between 13 and 15 September 2013 in Carloforte.
