È con piacere che annunciamo il ritorno del Cinema Sotto Le Stelle a Carbonia.
Grazie all’impegno dell’Amministrazione Comunale, e in particolare dell’Assessorato alla Cultura, che stanno investendo e credendo nella possibilità di far circuitare il cinema di qualità in città e nel territorio, il Centro Servizi Culturali Carbonia-Iglesias della Società Umanitaria, in collaborazione con i circoli del Cinema ARCI e FICC e l’Associazione Sonebentu, sono lieti di presentare sei titoli per la stagione estiva.
Le buone commedie di casa nostra e i film da Oscar della passata stagione, fino a grandi maestri del Cinema come Roman Polanski, Hayao Miyazaki e i Fratelli Cohen, senza dimenticare i bambini e il film di animazione!
Un’alternativa culturale ma anche di svago nelle calde sere d’estate.
Un’occasione di socializzazione per tutti!

Arturo nasce a Palermo lo stesso giorno in cui Vito Ciancimino, mafioso di rango, è stato eletto sindaco. Attraverso la storia d’amore con Flora, la compagna di banco di cui si è invaghito alle elementari, Arturo vive alcuni tra gli eventi più drammatici della storia di Palermo a cavallo tra gli anni 70 e i giorni nostri.
La consapevolezza di Arturo cresce anno dopo anno, ma nessuno lo ascolta. Palermo ha altro a cui pensare.

Davis è un giovane cantante folk che cerca faticosamente di farsi strada nel mondo musicale del Greenwich Village del 1961. Davis è tormentato da ostacoli che sembrano insormontabili, alcuni dei quali creati da lui stesso. Parte per un viaggio che lo porterà dalle ‘baskethouses’ del Village (i caffè newyorchesi in cui i musicisti vengono pagati dal pubblico con soldi raccolti in un cestino) ad un club deserto di Chicago per un’assurda odissea in un’audizione con un potente impresario musicale.

“KIKI CONSEGNE A DOMICILIO” di Hayao Miyazaki

Compiuti 13 anni Kiki, una streghetta simpatica e maldestra, parte alla ricerca di una città bagnata dal mare in cui svolgere il suo anno di apprendistato. In compagnia dell’inseparabile gatto nero parlante Jiji, Kiki arriva nella città di Koriko dove inizia a guadagnarsi da vivere facendo consegne a domicilio a cavallo della sua scopa di saggina. Superate le difficoltà iniziali, la giovane strega, grazie ai suoi poteri magici e alla conoscenza di persone che la fanno sentire a casa, riesce a rendersi indipendente. Ma nella vita, si sa, non tutto fila sempre liscio e le sorprese sono dietro l’angolo.

“SONG’E NAPULE” di Manetti Brothers

Napoli, oggi. Paco dopo il diploma al conservatorio, è un pianista raffinato ma disoccupato. La mamma trova una raccomandazione per farlo entrare nella polizia, ma la sua totale inettitudine lo relega in un deposito giudiziario. Un giorno arriva il commissario Cammarota, un mastino dell’anticrimine sulle tracce di un pericoloso killer della camorra, detto O’ Fantasma perchè nessuno conosce il suo vero volto. Al commissario serve un pianista poliziotto che dovrà infiltrarsi nel gruppo Lollo Love, un noto cantante neomelodico che allieterà il matrimonio di Antonietta Stornaienco, figlia del boss di Somma Vesuviana. A Paco non poteva capitare di peggio: si ritroverà a rischiare la vita in prima linea ed a suonare una musica che gli fa schifo, vestito come un cafone. Invece sarà la svolta della sua vita.

“DALLAS BUYERS CLUB” di Jean-Marc Vallée

Con Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner, Jared Leto, Steve Zahn, Dallas Roberts, Denis O’Hare, Griffin Dunne, Kevin Rankin, Jane McNeill.

Ron Woodroof è un elettricista/cowboy ribelle del Texas al quale, nel 1986, viene diagnosticato l’AIDS, con una prognosi di pochi giorni di vita. Frustrato dalla mancanza di opzioni mediche disponibili e tutt’altro che rassegnato a questa sorta di condanna a morte, Ron trova un’ancora di salvezza nei farmaci alternativi e in un mix di vitamine di sua invenzione. Entra così in contatto con altri ammalati e familiarizza con loro, superando l’iniziale omofobia e ritrovandosi al centro di un cospicuo business di contrabbando. Inizia così una tesissima partita a scacchi con la legge che vieta i farmaci da lui usati e con la polizia. Interpretato da Matthew McConaughey, premio come miglior attore protagonista agli OSCAR 2014.

GIOVEDI’ 07 AGOSTO – ore 21.30
“VENERE IN PELLICCIA” di Roman Polanski
Francia 2013, col, 96’
Con Emmanuelle Seigner, Mathieu Amalric.

In un teatro parigino, dopo una giornata passata a fare audizioni per trovare l’attrice che possa interpretare il lavoro che si prepara a mettere in scena, Thomas si lamenta al telefono del basso livello delle candidate. Nessuna di loro possiede lo stile necessario per il ruolo da protagonista. Mentre sta per uscire appare Vanda, un vero e proprio vortice di energia, sfrenata e sfrontata. Vanda incarna tutto quello che Thomas detesta. E’ volgare e stupida e non si fermerà davanti a niente pur di ottenere la parte. Praticamente costretto, Thomas decide di lasciarla provare e con stupore vede Vanda trasformarsi. Non solo la donna si procura oggetti di scena e costumi, ma capisce perfettamente il personaggio, di cui conosce tutte le battute a memoria. L’audizione si prolunga e diventa più intensa e l’attrazione di Thomas si trasforma in ossessione.

Thanks to the efforts of the City, and in particular the Department of Culture, who are investing and believing in the possibility of making circuited quality cinema in the city and in the region, Centro Cultural Services Humane Society of Carbonia-Iglesias, in collaboration with circles Cinema ARCI and FICC and the Association Sonebentu, are pleased to present six titles for the summer season.
The good comedies of our house and the Oscar-winning film of the past season, to the great masters of cinema as Roman Polanski, Hayao Miyazaki and the Coen Brothers, not to mention the kids and the animated film!
An alternative but also cultural entertainment in the warm summer evenings.

Arturo was born in Palermo on the same day in which Vito Ciancimino-ranking mobster, was elected mayor. Through the love affair with Flora, the classmate of which has fallen in love with in elementary school, Arthur lives some of the most dramatic events in the history of Palermo at the turn of the ’70s and today.
The awareness of Arturo grows year after year, but no one listens to him. Palermo has more to think about.

Overcome the initial difficulties, the young witch, thanks to its magical powers and knowledge of the people who make you feel at home, able to become independent. But in life, you know, not everything runs smooth and surprises are always around the corner.

Naples today. Paco after graduating from the conservatory, is a fine pianist but unemployed. The mother is a recommendation to get them into the police, but his total ineptitude relegates him in a court filing. One day arrives Commissioner Thornton, a mastiff dell’anticrimine on the trail of a dangerous killer of the Camorra, said O ‘Ghost because no one knows his true face. Ron Woodroof is an electrician / cowboy rebellious Texas where, in 1986, has been diagnosed with AIDS, with a prognosis of a few days of life. Frustrated by the lack of medical options available and anything but resigned to this sort of death sentence, Ron found a lifeline in alternative medicines and vitamins in a mix of his own invention. Thus enters into contact with other patients and familiarize yourself with them, overcoming the initial homophobia and finding himself at the center of a large business in smuggling. Thus began a tense game of chess with the law that prohibits the drugs used by him and the police. Played by Matthew McConaughey, winner of Best Actor Oscar for 2014.

In a Parisian theater after a long day of auditions to find an actress who could interpret the work as it prepares to stage, Thomas complains on the phone to the low level of the candidates. None of them has the style needed for the role. While coming out is Vanda, a veritable whirlwind of energy, unbridled and shameless. Vanda embodies everything I hate Thomas. And ‘vulgar and stupid and will stop at nothing to get the part. Practically forced, Thomas decides to leave her to try and see with amazement Vanda transform. Not only is the woman procures props and costumes, but he understands perfectly the character of which he knows all the lines by heart. The hearing continues and becomes more intense and the attraction of Thomas turns into obsession.
