Giovane e bella nasce dal desiderio del regista François Ozon di tornare a dirigere dopo “Nella casa” attori molto giovani per raccontare la gioventù del Duemila. Poiché i protagonisti di Nella casa erano due giovani maschi, Ozon sceglie questa volta di seguire Isabelle, una diciassettenne che scopre le trasformazioni a cui va incontro il suo corpo interpretata dalla giovane modella Marine Vacth, della quale  è la lucente fotogenia.

Lattuada e Rohmer l’avrebbero contesa. Scomparsi i grandi vecchi, ci pensa François Ozon, che deve essere partito dal brivido caldo di un fotogramma di Marine per scriverle intorno un sillabario dell’adolescenza schiava e fragile, segnata dalle ambizioni sbagliate di un’età disorientata e presuntuosa, sedotta dal denaro in ogni angolo del mondo.

In quattro stagioni intense e quattro belle canzoni di Françoise Hardy, Isabelle cade e risorge, bruciando ogni tappa .

La trama

Negli anni Settanta una famiglia di borghesi, industriali italiani, è costretta dalle minacce delle Brigate Rosse ad abbandonare il loro castello sulle rive del Po per trasferirsi in Francia a Parigi. La freddezza dei rapporti familiari di quegli anni accompagna la crescita di Louise (Valeria Bruni Tedeschi), da sempre insofferente per le decisioni di un padre e di una madre impegnati a salvaguardare le loro carriere di imprenditore e artista. Dopo decenni di segreti familiari che emergono inaspettati e momenti di forte apprensione per la malattia che colpisce il fratello Ludovic (Filippo Timi), Louise farà i conti con i fantasmi del passato quando dovrà rientrare in Italia per la vendita del castello. the plot

In the seventies, a family of middle-class , industrial Italian , is forced by threats of the Red Brigades to abandon their castle on the banks of the Po and moved to France in Paris. The coldness of family relationships of those years accompanies the growth of Louise ( Valeria Bruni Tedeschi) , always impatient for the decisions of a father and a mother committed to safeguarding their careers as an entrepreneur and artist. After decades of family secrets that emerge and unexpected moments of strong apprehension about the disease that affects the brother Ludovic (Filippo Timi ) , Louise will deal with the ghosts of the past when he must return to Italy for the sale of the castle. The meeting with Nathan (Louis Garrell ) and the birth of their love will allow it to recover in the hands of their dreams and hope for a better future.
