CAR FREE DAY – CAGLIARI – SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 22

The City Cycle Onlus Association organizes, in collaboration with the Municipality of Cagliari and in the many initiatives planned for the European Week of Sustainable Mobility, the CAR FREE DAY.

The event will be held in the third week of 16-22 September 2012 in conjunction with hundreds of European cities and expects to close a stretch of road normally bustling city to dedicate to the exposure of the initiatives that many organizations or companies are practicing or planning for a new sustainable mobility.

The city of Cagliari has acceded to the request of the Association City Cycle profit organization that proposed for the opportunity to organize the event CAR FREE DAY on the day of September 22 in the Via Roma side porches, from 15.00 to 20.00.

The City Council will close to traffic via the above to make it pedestrian, and which invites you to participate in all the administrations, organizations, associations and companies that have been operating or intending to propose or present machines, initiatives, activities that are oriented in the “right direction” sustainable mobility. May be proposed activities of various kinds, lectures, exhibitions, workshops, conferences, cycling, exhibitions of eco-friendly vehicles and electric days encourage the use of public transport, trials bike-sharing and car-sharing.
