CAMMINO DI SAN GIORGIO VESCOVO DA SUELLI A LANUSEI

Sabato 26
Partendo dal santuario di Suelli, dove sono conservate le spoglie del Santo, si percorrerà il tradizionale itinerario che, attraverso le colline della Trexenta, dirige a nord-est verso i Tacchi d’Ogliastra, passando da Siurgus-Donigala, Orroli, e Nurri. Superato il Lago Flumendosa col battello, entreremo in territorio di Sadali ed Esterzili per pernottare nelle cumbessias della antica chiesa campestre di S. Sebastiano (nota localmente come Santu Gironi), in territorio di Ussassai.
Si proseguirà quindi per Lanusei, lungo un itinerario che ricalca un antico percorso chiamato “Su caminu de is Paras”, che passa per Gairo Taquisara, dove si pernotterà in BandB.

Domenica 27
Il trekking-pellegrinaggio proseguirà a Lanusei, dove gli escursionisti saranno accolti dal Vescovo Mons. Piseddu.

Il costo di partecipazione è stimato al momento in € 440,00 a persona, comprensivo di vitto (colazione, pranzo al sacco e pasto completo serale), alloggio, trasferimenti da Cagliari, trasporto bagagli, traghettamento, guida ambientale escursionistica professionale, copertura assicurativa attraverso la tessera di Legambiente. Non è compreso il supplemento per sistemazioni in camere singole ove possibile.
Per il pernottamento ad Ussassai occorre il sacco a pelo e una lampada tascabile.
Il bagaglio, eccetto lo zaino giornaliero, viene trasportato con un bus da una di tappa all’altra. L’iniziativa è curata da Franco Saba, socio fondatore di Legambiente in Sardegna e socio della Organizzazione culturale Iubilantes di Como ONLUS, capofila della Rete Nazionale dei Cammini.

Starting from the sanctuary of Suelli , where are the remains of the saint, proceed along the traditional route through the hills of Trexenta , heads north -east towards the heels of Ogliastra , from Siurgus – Donigala , Orroli , and Nurri . After crossing the lake by boat Flumendosa , we will enter the territory of Sadali and Esterzili cumbessias for the night in the old country church of S. Sebastian ( known locally as Santu Rounds ) , in the territory of Ussassai .
It will then continue to Lanusei, along a route that follows an old route called ” On Caminu de is Paras ‘, which passes through Taquisara Gairloch , where you will spend the night in BandB .

Sunday 27
The pilgrimage trek will continue to Lanusei , where walkers will be welcomed by Bishop Piseddu .

The cost of participation is estimated at the time at € 440,00 per person , including meals ( breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal ) , accommodation, transfers from Cagliari , luggage transport, ferry , professional hiking guide , insurance coverage through the card Legambiente. It does not include the supplement for single room accommodations where possible.
For overnight at Ussassai need the sleeping bag and a flashlight .
The baggage , except the backpack daily , is transported by bus from one stage to another. The event is curated by Franco Saba , founder of Legambiente in Sardinia and member of the Cultural Organization Iubilantes Como NGO, leader of the National Network of Paths .
