“Portrait of My Father” by Maria Sole Tognazzi – The idea of a documentary about Ugo Tognazzi was born from the desire to tell, twenty years after his disappearance, the lives, loves, passions, successes and disappointments of the great actor, but also to reveal, for the first time, the sides and hidden secrets never revealed, the lesser known works. Ugo Tognazzi was a man defiant, mocking, lazy and collegiate He loved life and its pleasures, but he could be tenacious, courageous and combative. It is always presented for what it was, no excuses, justifications or embarrassment. As reflected in the many interviews during his long career and interviews of his family and friends who knew him well.
Hugh loved life convivial, the extended family, dinners with friends.
