Sunday, August 5, 2012, at 19.30, in Cagliari, opening night, supported by the Province of Cagliari and the City of Cagliari, event ciclopoetico “BiciNuragica” – Poetry 2012 “: Sardinia as slow travel, writing, voice, territory, music, culture, traditions and … well, curated by Ugo Magnanti (other major sponsorships will be improved soon).

The event, sponsored also by the Lazio town of Nettuno and Anzio, is promoted and organized by Fusibilia Association (http://www.fusibilia.it), in coordination with the Cultural Association HyperionArt of Cagliari, and in collaboration with various organizations island and reality, from the most prestigious literary institutions such as the Foundation “Giuseppe Dessi” Villacidro and “Poem in October Project” of Sassari, the most active and important cultural associations operating in the territory of Sardinia as Botti Du Shcoggiu of Carlisle, Theater of Basement Carbonia, Theatre of the Oppressed (section Bosa), or as the Cooperative All history of Cagliari, and the Antiquarian Arborense – Archaeological Museum “Joseph Pau” Oristano, up to Town Councils of Busachi, Orotelli, Uri, Carbonia, Bosa, Loiri-Porto San Paolo, and the Pro Loco of Tempio, Councillorship for Tourism, Events, Culture and Sports of the Province of Carbonia-Iglesias, and with the support of the island as a dynamic cultural presence The Library of Bosa you with zero, and the Association Libraialcentro of Sassari, or enogastonomiche as Enoteca Verdefiume of Bosa, and Wine Tourism in Sardinia Giuliano Lenzini, or travel, such as Hotel Regina Margherita di Cagliari, and the La Bay of St. Catherine of Pittinuri Cuglieri (Orissa).

This review poetic traveling by bicycle, which includes reading, music, performance on the road, interviews-happening, notes on the urban-environmental aspects of the local landscapes, and more, will stop in different places of the island, namely Cagliari, Carbonia , Carlisle, Villacidro, Oristano, Busachi, Orotelli, Bosa, Uri, Sassari, Tempio, Loiri-Porto San Paolo, tapping Sardinian village, and ends August 16 in Olbia, with a short leave of happenings on the road at the ‘boarding Marine Station White Island.

Together with the poet Ugo Magnanti part in the event the ‘suonicista stray’ Daniel Contardo, the surveyor Fabrizio Line, and the journalist and writer Sonia Topaz.

The group “BiciNuragica” walk the bicycle route bringing poetry, in the narrow sense and broad sense, historical places, squares and streets of cities crossed.

At each step correspond to a meeting, in which poets, musicians, and artists will join the Sardinian group traveling “BiciNuragica”. Just the Sardinian culture, traditional and contemporary, will be ample room in the course of the event: they are provided for major shareholdings Sardinian authors as well as more spontaneous contributions.

The initiative “BiciNuragica” expresses a synthesis between the sources of the event, detectable in the format “Poetry Sicily Bike” in 2008 and 2009, characterized mostly by pre-literary meetings, and the developments of later years, especially “EpoSillàBici” 2011, which expands the manner of placing any ciclopoetica a higher degree of civic ecology and spatial dimension, extending that part of the poetic happenings on the road, and introducing writing in progress, and impromptu meetings and interviews with poets, writers, artists, inhabitants of the territories.

Adheres to the project “Bottles of Poetry” of ciclopoeta Alessandro Ricci, who since 2007 had the idea to combine poetry with the bike, participating in various events. During the inauguration of Cagliari, his quatrains, which tell the world seen from the bike, will be distributed, extracted from water bottles, and read some of the artists.

The whole event, from Cagliari to Olbia, will be followed live on the radio pontine MusicaRadio 101.5, with brief telephone connections daily, edited by Antonella Melito. Moreover, every day on Radio Freerumble you can follow the event with a podcast summary of the stage.

The event will be a prelude to Friday, August 3 in the city of Nettuno, near Rome, where there will be a press conference with symbolic departure to the Island. It renews the close links the city with the Tyrrhenian origins of this event, from “Poetry Sicily Bike” in 2008, when the mayor of Neptune gave to the ‘citizen’ Ugo Magnanti a message of ‘friendship Mediterranean’ to take to the city cross.

The City of Anzio confirms its participation to the initiative ciclopoetica, like last year in favor of “Eposillabici: the geoemetra and the poet”: Rimini-Anzio remembering Amilcare Cipriani, in the 150 th anniversary of national unity.
