The exhibition Autumn in Barbagia next weekend stops in Meana Sardo (12-14 October)

Friday, October 12
16:00 Opening hours: open “Domos Antigas Meanesasa”, where everything has an antique flavor.
It will not be hard to live in the past because the past is in Meana Present: the ancient traditions are never lost, but at the same time jealously guarded and handed down with spontaneity and passion.

The skilled hands of housewives we will discover the secrets of ‘textile art echoing in the streets of the country the rhythmic sound of the old frames and observe the realization of the most
acts and sweets before the anticipated tasting.

The local pastors will offer us a glimpse of daily life and involve us in the processing of cheese that will be enjoyed hot.

The blacksmiths we will discover the beauty and musicality of wrought iron.
Carvers and stonemasons of wood and stone will create real works of art of our craft.

The streets of the country will be enveloped by the heady scent of freshly crushed grapes and in our cellar you can taste delicious wine, cheese and cold cuts.

You can also visit the archaeological site Nolza, the parish church of St. Bartholomew the Apostle with its bell tower and the Forest Ortuabis, a splendid example of pristine environment that hosts the old lime kilns where you can watch the preparation thereof.
