ARTE A MISURA – MAN -NUORO -UNTIL JULY 4

MAN_Museo The Art of the Province of Nuoro in the dialogue goes with the territory and the city of Nuoro through the project “ART TO SIZE”, which will begin February 23 and ends July 4. Born from the idea of ​​museum as a dynamic place of creation and of meeting, “ART TO SIZE” 5 invites artists to think of a work to be carried out specifically for the space of a clothing store, the store Sotgiu of Nuoro. The term on the extent or degree, given the scope of tailoring, the modus operandi of the project suggests that invites all artists to transform and revisit the place just taking measures. Each paper will last for twenty days and will be inaugurated with an event that will begin from 18 hours in Piazza San Giovanni, near Nuoro Sotgiu Store, with DJ sets and outdoor screenings. For the occasion will be an aperitif.
Vincenzo Pattusi_23 February – 14 March Tied to the dexterity of making art, the artist paints on each type of media taking his inspiration from everyday life and popular culture, from comics, like the cinema research. In a sort of date-based virtual continuously acquires and elaborates information coming from many different channels. The artist presents his work reveals that membership in the world of writers in the form of an installation created specifically for the event.
Giulia Casula _22 March – 11 April Through the creation of photographic works, videos and installations, the artist represents the visual impressions of his newspaper. Alienate the viewer, with intent to relive personal experience, that distant memory in the mind that emerges during the slumber through feelings confused and without detail. And ‘the feeling of deja-vu, which combines familiarity and estrangement. His works are territorial and conceptual investigations, reflections on time and memory, reconstructed in a form of poetic aesthetics and social criticism.
Vincenzo Grosso_19 April – 9 May Are you interested in street art and graffiti. His research focuses on the sign that investigates experimenting with different materials and found objects, wood, plastic. Assembles, transforms, defines and combines elements of creating a special archeology of the future. Each sign is a fragment, part of a whole invisible and unfathomable. His recent works focus attention on pictorial post architectures and possible consequences of the excesses of the modern world.
Correddu_17 Rita May – 6 June Focuses his research to suggest observing reality, through emphases delicate, sometimes with minimal or ephemeral destined to vanish, merging, new possibilities for action and vision. Investigates the expressive forms of human experience, where they manifest personal and collective memory, through ancient history and present, real or imagined. Sounds, images, words spoken, written, support research that starts from the place, a place of reflection, public place, operates widely in time and space: a variation on the idea of ​​contemporary monument.
Alessandro Biggio _14 June – 4 July Starting point of the artist for his work are the physical imperfections, discarded materials or become inoperable, all items in which there is a strong autobiographical component or affective. The goal is not to preserve the memory but still innestarci over another hypothesis of reality. As a new building that rests on the rubble, as in installations and sculptures, his work is in its sense of precariousness.
