Ore 08.00 Partenza dall’ Hotel Idea di Pirri – ex Motel Agip.

Inizieremo la nostra semplice camminata lungo l’antica strada Romana Karalibus-Sulcos”, costruita a strapiombo sul bellissimo mare della costa sud..
Proseguendo lungo il percorso, circondati da essenze mediterranee e panorami mozzafiato arriveremo in poche ore all’isolotto di Su Cardolinu, l’antico tophet di Bithia dove venivano inumati i corpi dei piccoli defunti. A breve distanza giungeremo alla baia di Chia, antico porto naturale di Bithia; ancora oggi la cinquecentesca Torre Spagnola domina le famose spiagge della zona; saliremo sul promontorio e visiteremo la torre (salvo probelmi nell’apertura), che fa parte del progetto 4 Acces, per la valorizzazione delle fortificazioni costiere ; Nella zona sottostante gli archeologi stanno scavando il sito archeologico dell’antica Bithia, probabilmente un abitato punico e il tempio di Bes.
Qui potremo pranzare con calma; recupereremo in seguito le macchine per spostarci velocemente nella zona di Capo Spartivento per continuare il nostro facile trekking verso il bellissimo faro omonimo e la sovrastante vedetta.
Ritorno a casa in serata.
Il costo dell’escursione è 10,00 € con mezzo proprio, se vorrete usufruire del trasporto in minibus (8 posti disponibili) il costo sarà 20,00 €;
Sarete accompagnati da una guida GT-Gae e da un Archeologo iscritti ai registri regionali della RAS

08.00 am Departure from ‘Idea of Pirri Hotel – formerly Agip Motel.

We will begin our simple walk along the ancient Roman road Karalibus-Sulcos “, built overlooking the beautiful sea of the south coast ..
Continuing along the path, surrounded by Mediterranean trees and breathtaking views will arrive in a few hours on the island of Cardolinu, the ancient Tophet Bithia where were buried the bodies of dead children. A short drive will reach the bay of Chia, an ancient natural harbor Bithia; still the sixteenth-century Spanish Tower overlooking the famous beaches in the area, go up the hill and visit the tower (except in the opening encounter any difficulties), which is part of the fourth Acces for the enhancement of coastal fortifications, the area underneath the archaeologists are excavating the archaeological site of Bithia, probably a Punic town and the temple of Bes.
Here we have lunch with calm, will recover after the machines move quickly in the area of Cape Teulada easy to continue our trek to the beautiful lighthouse of the same name and the overlying lookout.
Return home in the evening.
