Archeo-Trekking dal Tempio di Antas a Metalla 21 Aprile 2013

Sardinia Tourist Guide e l’ archeologo Nicola Dessi, vi presentano questa entusiasmante escursione nel territorio di Fluminimaggiore che ci permetterà di conoscere uno dei monumenti più emblematici della Sardegna, il tempio del Sardus Pater;
Da qui inizierà il nostro facile trekking in direzione delle bellissima grotta di Su Mannau, la prima parte, denominata Sala archeologica, è stata per un lungo periodo un tempio sotterraneo dedicato al culto dell’acqua, simbolo di fertilità femminile e identificato nella Dea Madre portatrice della vita. Centinaia di lucerne votive, ancora visibili, ne sottolineano l’uso religioso.. Nel sentiero, chiamato poi Antica Strada Romana, sono evidenti i tagli a sezione obbligata ricavati nella viva roccia per consentire il passaggio dei carri a traino, potremo inoltre visitare i resti di un villaggio nuragico e della cava romana.
Pranzo al sacco presso la fonte de Su Sciopadroxu nei pressi della grotta di Gutturu Pala
Nel pomeriggio ci sposteremo verso la costa, fermandoci a visitare la vecchia laveria della miniera di su Zurfuru; Dopo essere ripartiti, attraverseremo il paese di Fluminimaggiore e arriveremo nella zona di Capo Pecora, secondo alcuni approdo della mitica Metalla, considerata il fulcro dell’attività mineraria dei Romani nell’Iglesiente; Visiteremo qui i resti di una delle tante Tombe dei giganti della zona, in un contesto ambientale suggestivo. Il rientro sarà ancora più spettacolare e emozionante visto che ammireremo dall’alto uno dei tratti di costa più belli del Mediterraneo..la Portixeddu – Funtanamare.
