La Compagnia viaggiante Is Mascareddas arriva al THotel per raccontare i suoi personaggi e il volto più colorato e antico del  teatro. Una mostra che racconta la storia di una vita dedicata ai burattini e alle marionette: legno, cartapesta, fili, stoffa, ferro, trasformati in personaggi teatrali in grado di emozionare il pubblico di tutte le età.

Durante il percorso i visitatori dell’hotel potranno ammirare le prime produzioni della Compagnia, relative agli anni ’80 dove i burattini di cartapesta, ferro e stoffa prenderanno vita a ritmo di musica; la produzione degli anni ’90 dedicata alle storie; gli adattamenti a romanzi di Pirandello e varietà musicali.

Arriveremo agli anni Duemila con la trilogia dedicata al burattino sardo Areste Paganòs, inventato da Donatella Pau e Antonio Murru. Sarà, quindi, la volta di Giacomina e il popolo di legno del 2007 un vero omaggio a Eugenio Tavolara e Tosino Anfossi che a Sassari fondarono un laboratorio di giocattoli di legno. E ancora, Don Pasquale tratto dall’opera Lirica di Gaetano Donizetti per un allestimento dell’ Ente Lirico di Cagliari…

Is Mascareddas, fondata da Antonio Murru e Donatella Pau nel 1980, è una realtà culturale che ha contribuito in modo determinante alla diffusione e alla conoscenza del teatro di figura, ma anche del teatro dei ragazzi, in Sardegna ideando e allestendo progetti, laboratori, festival, rassegne che ospitano compagnie italiane e internazionali. Nel 1999 Is Mascareddas ha inaugurato la Biblioteca Yorick, Centro di Documentazione Internazionale e nel 2008 il Teatro MoMoTI a Monserrato. La Compagnia ha realizzato ventiquattro produzioni che hanno ricevuto attenzioni e riconoscimenti internazionali.

The Company Is Mascareddas comes to traveling THotel to tell his characters and his face was more colorful and ancient theater. We’ll get to the twenty-first century with the trilogy dedicated to the puppet Sardinian Areste Páganos, invented by Pau Donatella and Antonio Murru.
