Informazioni turistiche

L’agriturismo Parco Donnortei è presente sul territorio dalla fine degli anni novanta.

La struttura si estende dalle falde di Monte Spada fino alla vallata di Aratu ed è composta da un’azienda agricola, un agricampeggio, un albergo e da un parco faunistico. L’attività principale è l’azienda agricola che si occupa di allevamento biologico con l’obbiettivo di offrire ai clienti i prodotti lavorati in azienda. All’interno dell’oasi si possono avere tutte le indicazioni sul progetto “LIFE NATURA”. E’un particolare progetto finanziato dalla Comunità Europea, dalla provincia di Nuoro e dal WWF, dove, con la collaborazione di alcuni importanti studiosi ed esperti naturalisti si è individuato il Parco Donnortei come un importante SIC di interesse comunitario per il monitoraggio e la salvaguardia di alcune specie uniche al mondo. Nell’oasi di Donnortei si arriva preferibilmente al mattino. Dopo un aperitivo o un caffè offerto dall’azienda, si parte a piedi da quota 1200 metri s.l.m. fino ad arrivare ad una quota di 700 metri s.l.m. circa, per una passeggiata resa piacevole dall’intenso profumo del timo e della stachis glutinosa. Si attraversa un primo tratto abbastanza desertico ma con un panorama mozzafiato, per poi scendere verso la grande valle di Aratu. Si entra dapprima in angoli di bosco giovane composto da cedu misto; dopo venti minuti di passeggiata si arriva alla prima sorgente su un tornante di una pista sterrata, lì si fa una sosta di cinque minuti con la speranza che si facciano i primi incontri con maestosi esemplari di cervo e daino e decine di cinghiali con i loro piccoli tutti striati che si avvicinano per prendere una caramella o un tozzo di pane dalle mani dei turisti che fanno visita al parco. Poi si scende verso il fiume, dove, in un angolo che i pastori di un tempo chiamavano “SU TROCCU” si puo ammirare la rara bellezza di centinaia di bonsai secolari naturali di fillirea latifoglia intrappolati nella roccia. Camminando nei sentieri tracciati dai carbonai si incontrano famiglie di mufloni che godono le giornate di sole. Poi si arriva ad un punto di osservazione realizzato da Parco Donnortei in collaborazione col progetto LIFE. Da lì in primavera si può ammirare l’aquila reale che molto opportunista approfitta del periodo delle nascite dei cerbiatti e dei mufloni per portare a casa la colazione. Dopo essere stati in giro per il parco per una mattinata indimenticabile ad ammirare la bellezza della fauna, sulla strada del ritorno si può ammirare anche la rara bellezza della flora e dei tantissimi endemismi che colorano il bosco, sul posto la guida darà tutte le informazioni sui nomi scientifici latini, italiani e sardi delle piante. La struttura di Donnortei metterà a disposizione un fuoristrada di supporto qualora qualche visitatore abbia problemi per il rientro. In azienda ci sarà la possibilità di mangiare e assaporare le specialità della casa prodotte in linea biologica.

Il Museo delle maschere mediterranee di Mamoiada nasce con l’intento di costituire un luogo di contatto tra l’universo culturale di un piccolo paese della Sardegna interna, Mamoiada, nota in tutto il mondo per le sue maschere tradizionali – i Mamuthones e gli Issohadores – e le regioni mediterranee che, attraverso le rappresentazioni e le maschere di Carnevale, svelano una comunione di storia e di cultura. In particolare il Museo rivolge il suo interesse verso le forme di mascheramento nelle quali, in una grande varietà di combinazioni, ricorre l’uso di maschere facciali lignee zoomorfe e grottesche, di pelli di pecora e di montone, di campanacci e in generale di dispositivi atti a provocare un suono frastornante. A queste maschere, proprie delle comunità dei pastori e dei contadini, si riconosceva il potere di influire sulle sorti dell’annata agraria; per questo, malgrado l’aspetto impressionante, la loro visita era attesa e gradita e occasione per farsele amiche attraverso l’offerta di cibo e bevande.

The Farm Park Donnortei is present throughout the late nineties.

The structure extends from the foot of Monte Spada up the valley of Aratu and consists of a farm, a camping, a hotel and a wildlife park. The main activity is the farm that deals with organic farming with the goal of providing customers with the products manufactured in the company. The oasis you can have all the information on the project “LIFE NATURE.” It is a special project funded by the European Community, from the province of Nuoro and the WWF, where, with the help of some leading scholars and expert naturalists has been identified as an important Donnortei Park SIC of Community interest for the monitoring and protection of some species unique in the world. Oasis of Donnortei you get preferably in the morning. After an aperitif or a coffee offered by the company, is the walk from an altitude of 1200 meters above sea level up to an altitude of 700 meters above sea level about, for a walk even more pleasant by the intense scent of thyme and stachis glutinosa. It goes through an initial stretch quite desert but with a breathtaking view, and down to the great valley of Aratu. You enter first into the corners of the forest consists of young cedu mixed, after a twenty-minute walk will take you to the first source on a bend of a dirt track, there is a stop of five minutes in the hope that they make the first encounters with majestic specimens of red deer and fallow deer and wild boar with their dozens of small striated all who come to take a piece of candy or a piece of bread from the hands of the tourists who visit the park. The structure of Donnortei will provide an off-road support if a visitor has a problem to return. In the company there will be a chance to eat and savor the delights of home-produced organic line.

The Museum of Mediterranean Masks Mamoiada was created with the intention of creating a place of contact between the cultural universe of a small village in Sardinia internal Mamoiada, known throughout the world for its traditional masks – the Mamuthones and Issohadores – and Mediterranean regions, through the events and the masks of Carnevale, a common history and culture. In particular, the museum primarily focuses its attention on forms of masking, where a variety of combinations, the frequent use of face masks and grotesque zoomorphic wooden, skins of sheep and mutton, bells and other devices designed to produce a deafening sound. In these masks, the communities of shepherds and peasants, had the power to influence the outcome of the agricultural, which is why, despite their frightening appearance, their visit was welcome and eagerly awaited opportunity to befriend them through ‘ supply of food and drink.
