Alborosie, among the Italian-Jamaican reggae’s biggest names in the current international and first Italian to win the Mobo Awards 2011 winner, with a remix of the song by Amy Winehouse “Sweet Guitar”. Two stages in the island’s “Summer Tour 2012″ organized by Sardinia Concerts: 7 August at 21.30 in the summer all the exciting live-beat to the rhythm of Reggae and Dancehall will be vibrating in Cagliari in the Arena Promenade St. Elijah, while the next day (August 8) Amphitheatre Ivan Graziani Alghero host the twelfth edition of Festivalguer (always start at 21.30). A real musical journey between the authentic sounds of the Caribbean coast, starting from Jamaica Marley, has conquered the world.

The tour, which is affecting the most important cities of the peninsula, will be a mix of his hits extracted from the last album “Revolution 2 Times”, “Escape from Babylon” and “Soul Pirate”, but there will be room for some new unpublished and a preview of the new album coming out in 2013.

A turning point is the bilingual song “La Revolucion”, sung and written in Spanish and English: an unusual choice for a piece roots reggae that winks to fans worldwide. “International Drama” back on the Italian heritage, singing the difficult situation of the first immigrants in New York. Alborosie is a versatile artist: fighting for freedom and defending the poor in songs like “War Tax” and “What If Jamaica”, speaks of himself in “Who Do You Think You Are” and touches of hip-hop in the mix with the ragamuffin.
