A TORINO NASCE NEKO, IL CAT CAFE’ IN TORINO BORN THE CAT CAFE’

Un cappuccino, un croissant, due carezze al gatto che dorme sulla sedia accanto. Aprirà a breve a Torino Neko Café, il primo «cat café» d’Italia: un locale dove i felini vivono e gli avventori di passaggio sono autorizzati a coccolarli.

In Europa, se ne trovano anche a Vienna, Budapest, Berlino, Monaco, Parigi, Madrid. Ma, anche se il primo è nato nel 1998 a Taiwan, i neko café si sono diffusi soprattutto in Giappone (neko significa «gatto» in giapponese, ndr), dove se ne contano circa 39 solo a Tokyo. L’idea era di dare a tutti la possibilità di interagire con un gatto, in un Paese dove molti condomini proibiscono gli animali domestici, regalando contemporaneamente agli animali una casa.

Come succederà a Torino. Dentro al Neko Café, gestito dalla onlus animalista Neko FFFF, vivranno sette gatti abbandonati, salvati dalla strada e dal gattile. Sterilizzati e seguiti da un veterinario, potranno scorrazzare e riposare liberamente all’interno del locale. E gli amanti dell’igiene non si devono preoccupare: i mici avranno un’area «toilette» igienizzata a parte.

I clienti potranno dar loro da mangiare, accarezzarli e farli giocare. E, oltre ai felini, potranno trovare torte fatte in casa, tè e altri prodotti biologici, equo solidali e a chilometro zero, con un occhio di riguardo per vegetariani e vegani. Sarà un luogo di relax, con wifi gratuito e un servizio di book sharing. E uno sportello aperto a tutti per segnalare adozioni, smarrimenti o maltrattamenti.
