Parco e Castello degli Aymerich

Il Parco Aymerich è un parco urbano che si articola intorno ai resti del castello Aymerich, il cui primo impianto è probabilmente da ascriversi al 1053. L’area si estende su una superficie di quasi 22 ettari nel comune di Laconi, nella regione denominata Sarcidano, al centro della Sardegna. Le rovine del castello presentano stratificazioni plurime, che nel corso dei secoli hanno portato all’attuale aspetto. Il nome, innanzitutto, è oggi quello degli ultimi signori di Laconi, gli Aymerich appunto (che assunsero il titolo nel ‘700), ma in realtà l’edificio nacque originariamente in epoca medievale (forse sui resti di un castrum bizantino antibarbaricino) per difendere la frontiera del Regno di Arborea da quello di Cagliari. Questo castello fu la residenza dei signori di Laconi fino alla metà dell’800, epoca in cui il marchese Ignazio Aymerich Ripoll aveva già fatto realizzare un giardino di piante esotiche che si estende su un’ampia superficie. Probabilmente ai signori laconesi si deve anche l’impianto boschivo circostante il castello, nel quale trovano dimora anche piante singolari e non originarie, quali un cedro del Libano di dimensioni eccezionali ed il pino di Corsica. Ma il parco è costituito anche da fitte leccete, intervallate da cavità naturali, ruscelli, piccole cascate e laghetti che creano un’atmosfera di grande fascino, a disposizione di tutti a pochi passi dal centro urbano. Il Parco è dal 1990 di proprietà regionale, in gestione all’Ente Foreste della Regione Sardegna.

Museo Menhir
Il Museo della Statuaria Preistorica in Sardegna è ospitato negli spazi di Palazzo Aymerich, ultima dimora dei marchesi di Laconi. L’edificio, progettato nell’Ottocento dall’architetto Gaetano Cima, si trova al centro del paese, davanti al palazzo municipale. Costruito in perfetto stile neoclassico, si sviluppa su tre livelli scanditi da numerose finestre ed eleganti balconcini. Il percorso museale, allestito con testimonianze di straordinario interesse scientifico, si articola attualmente in 11 sale distribuite tra il piano terra e il secondo piano del Palazzo: dieci sale, sono dedicate ai menhir e alla grande statuaria antropomorfa preistorica della Sardegna centro-meridionale (areali del Sarcidano, Grighine e Mandrolisai), l’undicesima, “la galleria” affacciata sulla grande corte interna, ospita invece reperti di cultura materiale rinvenuti in contesti funerari megalitici sarcidanesi.

Paleoarcheocentro

Il P.AR.C. nasce con l’obiettivo di conservare e valorizzare i reperti fossili e archeologici del territorio e diffondere la conoscenza del nostro patrimonio storico e scientifico. Il Paleo Archeo Centro è un museo di nuova concezione, dinamico e strettamente legato al territorio che lo circonda. Un luogo per la comprensione dei fenomeni scientifici e storici, della loro importanza nella nostra formazione culturale e il loro impiego nella vita pratica.

Museo del cavallino della Giara

Il museo si pone dal punto di vista etnografico come piccolo centro di ricerca e conservazione della memoria storica del territorio. Gli attrezzi di questa sezione provengono dal lavoro contadino, altri ancora sono gli strumenti per la cura del cavallo, materiali che più appartengono alla nostra storia. Il museo vanta una piccola raccolta digitale di foto storiche e video e un discreto bookshop. Il museo, particolarmente suggestivo, è allestito all’interno di una tipica e antica casa campidanese a corte centrale. Il giardino e parte delle sale vengono affittate per rinfreschi e cene tipiche.

Park and Palace of Aymerich

The Park Aymerich is an urban park that is built around the remains of the castle Aymerich, the first of which is probably to be ascribed to 1053. The area covers an area of almost 22 hectares in the municipality of Laconi, in the region called Sarcidano, the center of Sardinia. The ruins of the castle have multiple layers, which over the centuries have led to the appearance. The name, first of all, today is the last lords of Laconi, the fact Aymerich (who took the title in the 700), but in reality the building originally was born in medieval times (possibly on the remains of a Byzantine castrum antibarbaricino) to defend the border of the Kingdom of Arborea from that of Cagliari. This castle was the residence of the lords of Laconi until the mid-800’s, when the Marquis Ignazio Aymerich Ripoll it did make a garden of exotic plants extending over a large area. Probably the lords laconesi you should also plant forest surrounding the castle, in which plants are also home unique and original, like a cedar of Lebanon exceptionally large and pine Corsica. But the park is also constituted by dense oak forests, interspersed with natural caves, streams, small waterfalls and ponds that create an atmosphere of great charm, available to all within walking distance from the city center. The park is owned by the 1990 Regional Entity management in forests of the region of Sardinia.

Museum Menhir
The Museum of Prehistoric Statuary in Sardinia is located in Palazzo Aymerich, the last home of the Marquis of Laconi. The building, designed in the nineteenth century by the architect Gaetano Cima, is located in the town center, opposite the town hall. Built in neo-classical style, spread over three levels marked by numerous windows and elegant balconies. The museum, set up by testimonies of extraordinary scientific interest, is currently divided into 11 rooms distributed between the ground floor and the second floor of the palace: ten rooms are dedicated to the great menhirs and anthropomorphic statuary prehistoric Sardinia’s south-central (areal Sarcidano, Grighine and Mandrolisai), the eleventh, “the gallery” overlooking the large courtyard, houses instead remains of material culture found in the funerary megalithic sarcidanesi.

Paleoarcheocentro

The P.AR.C. created with the aim to preserve and enhance the fossil and archaeological territory and spread the knowledge of our historical heritage and science. The Paleo Archaeological Center is a museum of newly developed, dynamic and closely linked to the territory that surrounds it. A place for the understanding of scientific and historical, of their importance in our cultural background and their use in practical life.

Museum of the Horse of the Jar

The museum is the ethnographic point of view as a small research and conservation of the historical memory of the territory. The tools in this section are from peasant labor, others are tools for horse care, materials that belong more to the story. The museum has a small digital collection of historical photos and a decent bookshop. The museum is particularly impressive, is housed in a typical old house campidanese a central courtyard. The garden and part of the rooms are rented for receptions and dinners.
