CONFERENCE ON RENEWABLE ENERGY – CAGLIARI – T HOTEL -1 TO 3 OCTOBER
From Monday, October 1 to October 3, 2012 9:45 am More wind, biomass and solar power for a future with less economic costs and reduced emissions of carbon dioxide. The network “intelligent” in the center of the work of over eighty international experts at the conference maintained by the Department of Electrical Engineering of the University of Cagliari.
Monday, October 1, from 9:45 in the conference room of the Hotel T – via Judged – opens the eighth edition of the “Mediterranean Conference on generation, transmission, distribution and conversion of energy.” Work continues until Wednesday, October 3.
Renewable energy networks and “smart.”
The highlight of the conference theme combines scientific research, market analysis, renewable energy networks and “smart.” Of the latter is active, publications and studies of international importance, the group Diie (Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the University of Cagliari). “We are working on smart grids, which are essential for reasoning on the integration of renewable energy, in a process that leads to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions,” said Fabrizio Pilo. The Department, on these issues, in addition to studies of energy obtainable from biomass, wind and small wind turbines, photovoltaics, has already developed several prototypes of electric vehicles. In addition, researchers Cagliari – with scholars of Enel, University of Padova and 2nd University of Naples – are working on the project Atlantis. Funded by the Ministry of Economic Development, Atlantis takes care networks “intelligent” clean energy and renewables.
Organizers and speakers. The Conference is co-ordinated by Diie directed by Giuseppe Mazzarella. The chairman of the works is Fabrizio Pilo (director of the Doctoral School of Industrial Engineering). Among the speakers, some of the leading experts in the field worldwide.
