STOLEN – HOSTEL MARINA – CAGLIARI – FROM SEPTEMBER 28

It’s not every day that a “visual artist” decides to present his latest works through the words and music.
It happens to Cagliari, Friday, September 28 at 19.30 in the cloister at Hostel Marina – Ladders S. Sepulchre – where you talk about the “Stolen” the latest works by the artist Marina Cuccus.

“On 11 January 2012, 12 paintings belonging to the series Stones (October 2011) and The Little Ones (October 2011), the artist Marina Cuccus, were sent to London to take part in a group exhibition. Works never arrived at the destination.
The Stolen series, is in itself an act of rebellion, a challenge, a sleight of hand by which the artist tries to change the role that destiny assigned to it.
With the fury with which the Bride of Kill Bill draws his katana and seeks his revenge, and an all-female perfidy, Marina Cuccus reworks conceptually stolen goods by creating a limited edition of recordings of Author in which “the color, strength, the breath of the lost originals, seem to come back from the dead.
The artist, however, devises a true magician’s trick, and forces the collector himself to live the nightmare of theft: the folder is admittedly incomplete and coveted possession of the entire series may not be that simple. “
The stolen will be exposed to the public for the occasion.

The exhibition “Stolen” will continue in the laboratory of Saletta team in Via XX Settembre 29 to Quartu S. Elena.
