DON JUANNE DORE – REGIO PALACE – CAGLIARI – FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 28 AT 6:00 PM

Friday, September 28, 2012 will be held in Cagliari (at the Royal Palace starting at 18.00) Manifestation “DON Juanne DORE” to remember Don Giovanni Dore priest, scholar of Musical Traditions Sarde and founder of the Museum of Musical Instruments Tadasuni. The event (sponsored by the Province of Cagliari, the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, Academia de su sardu, the Sm @ ls Musical and Cultural Association “Ennio Porrino” Elmas) will be coordinated by Professor Carmen Campus (Headmaster and Founding member of “Sm @ ls” and “Academia de su sardu”) and provides for the intervention of both the Dr. Roberto Pili (President of the Provincial Council of Cagliari) and the speakers Dr. Gianni Filippini (Director of the Editorial “L ‘ Unione Sarda “), Dr. Marco Lutzu (Ethnomusicologist) and Dr. Roberto Milleddu (Ethnomusicologist) which will deal with issues related to the life and musical activity and research by Don Dore. During the initiative will be offered some musical interludes by performing traditional Sardinian songs by musicians Marco Argiolas, Nicola Agus, Joseph Orrù and Group Cameristico “Ensemble Porrino” Elmas (Ignatius Perra, Tenor and Master Chief, Chara Delgado, Soprano, Joseph Orrù, Launeddas, Marco Argiolas, Soprano Sax, Santina Mancosu, Clarinet, Salvatore Sweden, Horn, Pasquale Perra, Piano), whose performance is part of the concert production “Melodias de Sardigna” included in the project ” sounds and voices for the Island “and the production and circulation of concerts promoted in 2012 by the Cultural Music” Ennio Porrino “Elmas (whose artistic direction is by the M ° Ignatius Perra) with the contribution of the RAS, Department of PI, Culture, Information, Sports and Entertainment and Department of Tourism.
