The Festival “On de Succu” takes place in Busachi Sunday, September 2.
The festival focuses on the presentation, preparation and tasting dish of Busachi, “On Succu” of ancient origin and unknown.
“On Succu” is a type of hand-made pasta that is cooked in a broth of meat mixed with fresh pecorino streamlined and saffron.
In ancient times, considering the costs of its ingredients, was eaten only on special occasions such as weddings, Easter and Christmas.
The event is divided into three different parts:
→ “On the Present”, a procession of girls in traditional costumes parading through the streets of the country led by baskets and baskets full of bread, pasta and homemade desserts, reinventing the ancient ceremonial, linked to marriage, which is transporting the food needed for the party, the new home of the bride and groom.

For the occasion, an exhibition theme inherent moments of life and environments related to the history and various exhibitions of handicrafts, food and wine of the area, the ancient monastery of “Collegiu.”

The event concludes the ancient monastery of “Collegiu” with traditional live music and singing.
