EIDYLLION -PORTO PALMA (ARBUS) – 3 TO 5 AUGUST

It is in this spirit that promotes Sea Scout “Eidyllion – The sea without borders”, an idea born from the minds of Richard La Porta, diver trainer and managing director of Sea Scouts, and Mirco Fava, diver trainer and rehabilitation technician in the water. L ‘ intent of the project is to be able to go beyond the borders of the unknown, the “you can not do,” of disability as a taboo that still persists in our society.

The tour, which began in Palermo on June 22, now makes a stop in Sardinia Porto Palma (Arbus, OR), with an appointment scheduled on days 3, 4 and 5 August.

The event will support two events already known to the world of subacqea, Wreck Racing League and the Underwater Photo Tour for people with disabilities.

The first is the Grand Prix Formula H2o underwater, underwater a race in which competitors compete by leveraging the power of a submarine driver. Registrations are also open to disabled divers can participate and assist anyone with a certified diver, also using the opportunity to try racing engines.

The Underwater Photo Tour is equally accessible to everyone, but especially dedicated to the different categories of disability in that, while not excluding a certain degree of competition, tend to focus on moments of conviviality and aggregation between disabled and able-bodied. The real peculiarity of the event is in fact the presence of many underwater photographers who are blind are the most numerous number of people with disabilities who wish to undertake a sfida.L ‘initiative will provide an opportunity for all, disabled and not, to prove’ extraordinary and unique experience to dive in the water: during the 3 days it will be also promoted the “baptism”, ie a test dive to discover a new way, but always fascinating to experience the sea and, with the ‘ opportunity to photograph him.

The event is made possible through collaboration with the Yacht Club Porto Palma, Impremar the managers of the port and the Association Porto Palma.
